My menu listing on the DVR says that Shayne and Matt will definitely make an appearance on AFR.

However, yesterday's NY Daily News says they just broke up: (I can't post the url because I'm too new)

"The latest "Bachelor" couple, Matt Grant and Shayne Lamas, have split, according to In Touch. Wow. I never saw this coming. He's from London; she once asked if there were palm trees there. He works in business development; she works the cover of "Girls Gone Wild" magazine. It seemed so perfect."

More rumors, I don't think ABC would have them on the AFRC, to let us know they are no longer together.

That reminds me to mention. It seems awful suspicious to me that we have all of this "insider" information about the ATFR but no mention from any source about Matt and Shayne.

I don't care how much everyone goes on and one this weekend, I'm not buying it until I see for my own eyes on Monday.

Last time I looked which was during B11, it was still active, not going to post personal info on the board as its not allowed.

Re: The Aftermath

Stuff to think about........... I don't think that if Jesse IS F1 that she accepts the proposal right away - reason being- the response by CH at the MTA when D announced that she was engaged - he seemed to be very surprised - maybe she accepts some type of something - but not the ring - or takes the ring to be put on her finger at another time - If anything that may have happened after the filming stopped.

Just blabbing away here

The only conclusion that I can come up with is Ty??
I do see what you're saying, but I guess I would still put it down to ratings in that they had more to gain by playing to Jason's ever-growing fan base and the possibility of him being a future Bachelor. Plenty could've been shown to throw doubt on their relationship that Ty would never pick up on even if he saw every minute of the show so. I still give the credit to Jason who would want his son to see a positive role model portrayed on TV and so he gave them nothing embarrassing to show. I'm not nominating him for sainthood, I just think he's a decent guy that even TPTB probably really enjoyed having on the show, and they had no good reason for giving him anything bad in his edit. Showing some doubt on the relationship is the only question, but I happen to think the rumor of him having been the initial F1 is a possibility and that the show was not reedited to cast doubt. If that's not the case, then I think its just for the surprise factor. Or, the real doubt-causing issues were not ones they wanted to focus on, i.e., the difference in religion, Jason being a single dad, etc.

No disrespect to Cape and her inside source, but everyone seems to be taking that for the gospel and forgetting everything we have seen with our very own eyes.
People are turning on Deanna and saying some very unflattering things before we know for a fact that she does dump Jason. Until we see it and know it for a fact, I think people should reserve judgement. There is just too much evidence that Jason is the one, their interaction together is amazing to watch and her statements before regarding what type of person she was looking for (jason fits the bill) Remember how she cried when she let Richard go? God, she barely knew the guy and she didn't want to lead him on----I refuse to believe she would be able to turn around and hurt Jason, who she obvisously has a connection with.(Especially after seeing his whole family crying when Jason had to leave Ty)
Hang in there guys. Keep the faith.
I am not a DeJay fan---never have been. I think Jason is a great guy, and has received a very positive edit, and I saw some romance between him and DeAnna, but I also saw a romance develop between her and Jesse. I think the fact that Jason got a more obvious edit, and had the attention of and appeal to more viewers (because he's a sweet, loving single dad and people saw how heartwrenching it was for him to be away from his son) allowed for it to look like he was F1, whereas the "love story" with Jesse built much slower, and was much more hidden...as well as the fact that it was clouded by Jesse having a bolder, less conventional personality that initially gave some viewers a negative impression of him. If you didn't have Jason picked as the winner (as I did not), then I think it is much easier to see the Jesse-story building. He got her attention instantly---FIB---she was intrigued. He lived in the big house the first week, so she got a chance to know him and they became friends---she was still intrigued. He won all the early competitions---she was further intrigued. He wowed her on the dirtbike---she was more than intrigued, she found him "hot" and wanted him to kiss her. Around the same time (dirtbike ep) I think Jesse had it hit him that he was really starting to fall for DeAnna too---prior to that I think he was just in the whole thing to see what happened---to have the experience---and was enjoying getting to know her. Not sure what the "OMG" moment was for him, but I think it happened on that group date, because when she is sitting with him at the pool, and she is giving all the "i want him to kiss me now" vibes, he is so nervous he can't shut himself up---there are pauses in the conversation and he knows he could lean in and kiss her and she would respond well, but he can't bring himself to do it---you don't get that nervous about kissing someone you aren't falling for---you only get that kind of nervous when you realize it is someone you care about. The HTD once again showcased Jesse in his element---she was again intrigued---he's a wild man on the slopes, he's a kind and gentle teacher, he has a ridiculously organized kitchen (sorry, folks I couldn't resist), he has fabulously sweet parents, including a wonderful dad who Jesse himself says is "a glimpse of what he'll turn out like in 30 years". When they finally kiss they both really wanted it---it wasn't a "hmmm, I guess we should kiss now" moment---it was a culmination of wanting to kiss one another for some time. On the FD Jesse shows vulnerability, openness, and yet he totally freaks her out with his "I'm not sure I can until I meet your dad" line about the FS card---he freaks her out, in a way she finds intriguing once again. Jesse at this point is smitten with her---no one is more surprised than him that they are falling for one another, yet they are. So where does that leave us? Yes, DeAnna has been shown to have a connection with Jason, but first of all it has been so elaborately detailed here I don't think I could even do it justice. What I have seen is that she liked him initially, and wanted to get to know him better, so she did. She felt safe with him, and nurtured by him, and this drew her to him. She was very stressed by the process of the show and he made her feel comforted (most glaring example would be the night she let Fred and Robert go---he was there for her with open ears and open arms). She grew more attached to him, because he provided her with things she needed, she found him sweet in a way that I don't think she has been treated by men in her past. (Jeremy was also providing her with comfort, compassion, and support during this time---I think the two of them really helped her get through the process of this show---again, I don't think she is used to having these "giving, loving" types of men in her romantic life---but as soon as Jeremy said he was falling in love with her, she let him go---was the challenge gone? was the intrigue gone? did she just not feel the romantic connection? [i have to add I find the lack of connection to be hard to swallow seeing as she took him to the FS,even though it seems she had already decided to let him go, but that's JMO]. On the HTD DeAnna fell in love with Ty, and with Jason's family---no question about that---the big loving family complete with the loving mother-figure she so desperately misses having in her own life (and that's not a criticism of DeAnna, in any way)---but I don't know that it drew her any closer to Jason. If anything it may have underscored for her that Ty is the center of Jason's universe, as he well deserves to be---and if she chooses Jason, she will have to fall into orbit him, with Ty as the center of the universe---she won't be the central focus of that relationship, no matter how much Jason tries. Yes, she has a wonderful time on their FD, yes she likes him, yes, she may even love him---but he doesn't give her the rush she gets from Jesse. Jason is warm and comforting and loving, but Jesse is exciting and unexpected and "she can't imagine not having him in her life". We've been shown 2 love stories. Three if you count Jeremy's "perfect guy" edit---where she says he is everything she wanted, but she wanted something else more...and 4 if you count Graham's "smokin' hot---he's the one I thought I was falling in love with" edit, where she really wants him, but he can't give her what she wants, so she decides to break out of her habit of wanting what she can't have and look at what she has right in front of her instead. JMO as someone who has tried, desperately, to watch each of the contestants and judge their edits on their own, and not in the context of the boards or my personal favorites.

This is dangerously close to forbidden territory.

I don't think it is rumor that they have broken up....I think that is a fact. Long been suspected that the whole thing was a farce!
