Poor Jason - but I have no doubt that he will find a great (classy) woman to complete his family. I don't think De is that person...and if for some reason Jason is the F1, I will happily eat my words!!

They will probably show the Jesse route now, they have no choice. However, too little too late imo. They should have been showing these special moments with them through the whole episode. Like Jammie said, where was the pancaked breakfast for his bd. That would have been sweet to see. I am just very disgusted with the editing, and the fact they made Jason propose, knowing she was going to reject it. I think they could have soften the blow a little for Jason, and have her tell him before he proposed. I think that is what is going to outrage people the most. Charlie never proposed to Trista, and people accepted Trista and Ryan. I always liked Ryan, and was hoping it was him. I didn't dislike Charlie and thought he would be fine for Trista also.

    Re: The Aftermath

I have been lurking since the Andy season (and by the way, I’m impressed with how well this board is run, and the quality of the sleuthing, and how civil everyone is!) I don’t watch many reality shows, but this one really intrigues me, and I don’t think it would hold my interest without the interesting posts on this spoiler board!

I have a crazy theory, and I know it is very unlikely to be the case, but I am holding on to it, because 1) hope springs eternal, and 2) it is the only thing I can think of that would reconcile all of the seemingly credible but contradictory things I’ve been reading here. I offer it, in case anyone else is comforted by having a crazy, against-all-odds kind of hope.

This gives a lot of credit to everyone. It is the only possibility I can think of that puts everyone in a good light.

Perhaps DeAnna really wanted to avoid “leading people on,” and Jesse wanted a way to break into an acting career, and so maybe this is all a huge, elaborate set-up. I’m entertaining the notion that Jesse and DeAnna have been acting all along, and perhaps very few people are in on it. This would allow her to avoid bringing someone like Jeremy, who was really falling in love with her, to F2.

This would explain (to me) why I don’t see the romantic connection between them, and why Jesse seems so phony to me. It allows him to have his publicity opportunity, and a benign motivation as well. It attributes some compassion to DeAnna, and gives a lot of credit to the producers ~ it would be extremely clever of them to pull something like this off ~ even as far as a “phony” ATFR so that there would be credible, but misleading leaks. Maybe the delays in the taping of the ATFR that day were so that they could get footage of the “real” story without the hired audience, and then bring in the audience and put on the “phony” ending. The SCs that don’t make sense would be because some of them were posed. They filmed two different endings (or at least filmed footage of the alternate ending.”

The engagement party thing could have been canceled because there was too much backlash at the idea of a Jesse F1 once the (planned) leaks were out. They put the “where are they now” in its place for now, to hold its place until next week, when they can change it back to the engagement party, when the majority of fans are happy that is Jason.

OK, I know it’s outlandish and very unlikely. I have amazing powers of delusion. But it seems to resolve so many inconsistencies, and allows me to relax and not fret about all the time I’ve wasted on this silly show! It would be an M. Knight Shyamalan sort of ending, and nobody is heartless in this scenario (except Fleiss, of course). So I’m holding this fantasy out as a possibility, and when/if I find out that I was way too optimistic, I’ll deal with that then. (Somehow, I think I’ll get over it quickly!)

ETA ~ in my scenario, Jason is the real F1, in case I wasn't clear!

True, but at least they showed us something with Ian. You could definitely see the sparks between them, even if they edited most of it out.

I wish I could see that this would be forever. De made some grave errors and now she will be the one paying the ultimate price for her mistakes, not the men. Well, I take that back, except for Jesse. Poor guy

Yuppers it is a little too late. The viewers are very unhappy with the way things have turned out. Too bad Fleiss hasn't learned from past mistakes.

Santorini is considered one of the most romantic tourist locations in Greece, and is certainly one of the most well known and popular, just ask any travel agent. I think it would make perfect sense regardless of who she chose to have Santorini as a honeymoon destination.

Simply because the audience-beloved single dad on the show mentioned it in a song doesn't mean that it has been co-opted by him and therefore DeAnna can never travel there, just because said contestant ended up not being F1.

For the record, I don't dislike Jason. Jeremy was my fave, but I also liked Graham and Jason a lot...heck, I don't DISLIKE any of the men. But this backlash against DeAnna -- and trust me, I am no DeAnna fan -- and her chosen F1 simply because she didn't choose the fan favorite is starting to seem a bit creepy to me...and talk about déjà vu ...didn't we just go through this recently?

I recognize that emotions are running high right now, and it is difficult seeing any of these wonderful men being hurt. But just as Graham and Jeremy will be fine, Jason too will be fine and will move on with his life.

    JMO.
I think Jason will be more than fine and considered lucky. My point was that someone at ABC is missing the boat if they don't think they're going to have a PR issue with this one and a little tact could go a long way. Whether it is fair or not, is not the issue.

I will get down on my knees and PRAY that you are on the right track here, even though it doesn't seem likely, given the information we've been given. Like many on here, I am just baffled by the edit we've been given. Jason seems sweet and genuine and the chemistry between him and De is SMOKIN. Jesse, on the other hand, always seems to be selling himself, IMO (this is what the edit has given us!!). From their first 1:1, it was like he had to convince De to give him the rose. Saying all the "right" things...his "I hope you're ready to get married" line? Sorry to any Jesse fans, I just found that very contrived and fakey. I'm just not buying what he's selling. But...I guess maybe De is.

So. Having been a Shayne fan last season and having to read so many posts bashing MY F1, I will say this: the edit led me to Jason, but if De's heart leads her elsewhere, I am happy for her. Love is unpredictable and based on so many factors, way beyond what we could possibly see on our TVs. So I hope she is happy with whomever she chose.

"Q. What are the qualities that you like in your final two bachelors?

    A. DeAnna Pappas, (The Bachelorette): Jason, is a wonderful man and has a beautiful outlook on life. I never wondered if he was a good father and he would always be there for me. Jesse, is a crazy snowboarder, he is a wonderful human being and he is always going to make me laugh. The final rose ceremony was one of the hardest things I had to do.

    Q. Have you picked a wedding date yet?

    A. DeAnna Pappas, (The Bachelorette): We are taking one day at a time.

    Q. Do you still have feelings for Brad Womack?

    A. DeAnna Pappas, (The Bachelorette): We have exchanged a few phone calls but we wish eachother the best.

    Q. Did you know from the first day who the winner was going to be?

    A. DeAnna Pappas, (The Bachelorette): Actually the two that I thought were going to make it to the finals have been eliminated.

    Q. Do you have any dating tips?

    A. DeAnna Pappas, (The Bachelorette): Don't force it. It's either there or it's not. I would rather be alone that to be with the wrong person. "

more of that past/present tense crap - what a stinker
