Well, maybe not boring.....between De burping and Jesse farting...they would have had to put the show on earlier for the 'tweens to watch

At this point I could care less if she picks Jesse, or the wolf man, because I think Graham, Jeremy and Jason are the three that stole the show away from DeAnna.
I guess I see this differently. The show is all about DeAnna finding the one for her, and the men are there as possible choices. I enjoyed several of the "Bachelors" this season, and agree that DeAnna had a nice group of men. The "final four", who get more attention than the others ,because they are DeAnna's top choices, become the featured players. The editors then try to confuse the audience so they will be surprised at the end. Finally, hidden screencaps seem to emerge and enable the audience to see more of what happened during the show. It is not always as it seems!

(Maybe not so much on the part of die-hard fans with depressed spirits, though.) I think it will probably work for the netties and those who read blogs and they will be in a more receptive mood by Monday evening. It's already Sunday - the fourth day - and, other than sleuthers upset over the edit and misleading FRC caps, it seems to be working.
Am I the only one who still finds it strange that no one has felt the need to "leak" anything about the actual ATFR show itself. Everything has been about the last episode of the Bachelorette....I haven't seen a word about the interaction that went on at the ATFR taping.

Jason is about as exciting as lukewarm dishwater so I can't blame DeAnna if she doesn't pick him. However, I don't feel sorry for him or any of them really. They all chose to whore themselves out on TV, Jason even did it to his son. He could have absolutely not signed the consent form to put his son on camera, but he did.

DeAnna has never struck me as too intelligent and I always felt she just wanted exposure and a way out of that bartending/real estate working-9-to-5 type of gig she has going. Of course, any of us could have told her that being on any number of fake reality dating shows would not enhance her credibility in Hollywood, but I doubt she would have listened. I really hope she will fade into the woodwork after the ATFR. I have no desire to see her in any capacity on my TV after the show. I got sick of her just like I got sick of Brad, Lorenzo, Andy, Travis etc. before her. I couldn't care less who she picks in the end but I find it funny that it's supposedly the joker of the bunch with the girlfriend, the sponsorship deal and the ugly mug. It's like she purposely picks the one person with whom it would be easiest to claim in a week's time that it didn't work out or the person who would be all for a fake relationship to keep the sponsors/network/whomever happy.

Besides, I agree that she wasn't even the star of the show per se. The audience of this show is mostly female and 25 shirtless men pretty much equal good entertainment right there. Their, er, "quest for love" on TV is incidental to the show, as far as I'm concerned, mainly because it's non-existent...

Oops, Yes, I totally agree, BUT the featuring of Ty, imo, brought in the viewers for them and that's all they care about. Throughout the seasons there have been TONS of things that they did in terms of edits to bring in viewers, but offended people. I don't get this whole pitty party for Jason, he took the same chances as everyone else and just because he chose to leave his son at home to take such a risk does NOT entitle him to not get hurt. So, I don't see him being a single father as any more hurtful than anyone else in the past. The producers featured those along the way that they felt would best bring in the viewers and I have no idea how their choice of featuring Ty will pay off in the long run, but in the short run I'll bet it did. Personally, I don't understand this backlash of not picking the single father any more than any other featured contestant. I just don't.

I don't know why Jesse was not edited more strongly. I do know the old adage that actors don't want to work with children because they are scene stealers is illustrated in the featuring of Ty. The problem is that Ty worked, imo, for the ratings. I can't see why they'd be a huge backlash any more than in past seasons when the viewer didn't see the love story. We never are shown the true love story. Never. I've skipped two seasons completely and saw only two shows this season because of this.

MSFROGGY! About time you showed up with your words of absolute truth and wisdom about this crazy show. Fleiss hit the jackpot with this season of eye candy AND the adorable little boy. He pulled out all the stops to save his non-romance trainwreck of a SHOW.

I agree with what you had quote above...and several statements here. Wedding plans? Um....shouldn't she be thinking...."Let's see if we can beat the odds and make this relationship last past the six month mark"

Duh.......

Re: The Aftermath

It was leaked. It was said that Jason was very nice and showed his wit -- still hurting, but was very gracious about everything.

The big secret was the wedding date has been set for May 9, 2009 and ABC gave the a trip to Santorini, Greece for their honeymoon.

Other stuff was said, but I can't remember just what it was.
