No. I've made peace with the Jesse selection. I think this supports the "hard sell" that is coming to make this twosome believable. From a marketing and ad buy perspective, the Fleiss edit backfired. I hate to admit this, but it was the "business perspective" in part that solidified my faith in a DeJay connection as the eventual outcome. This was TV gold and it was the one thing that made me always think Jason would win once I saw that he was in the opening credits - who's gonna screw over the cute dad and the adorable kid. There he was front and center - narrating the episodes even on the week's when he was a supporting player they used his PIs to tell the story - to raise questions and concerns. Believe me, I have rewatched them all (too much) and he has narrator duty every week. ABC used the Jason/DeJay arc to sell us a bill of goods "a fairytale ending was coming" as voiced by Jason almost weekly and folks were buying. Week after week the ratings and key demos grew and grew. And, in the end, it was a fabrication.
It still could have been an intriguing story if they'd played their editing cards right.
