Like so many others, I was shocked when I read that Jesse would be the F1. I fell in love with Jason on the first episode and, while I've always liked Jesse (he reminds me of my husband's younger brothers), he just didn't do it for me. Of course, I'm a 34-year old, happily married mother of three - so it's no surprise that I would be instantly drawn to someone like Jason.

Having said that, out of sheer curiosity, I did a compatibility comparison, based upon birthdays only, between De and the final four guys. Interestingly enough, the guy she is most compatible with overall was none other than Jesse. Jeremy was a close 2nd, then Graham, and finally Jason. Here is the breakdown:

Based on a scale of 1-100 with the higher number meaning more compatible. There are four numbers, representing the compatibility of the following types, in this order: Physical/Emotional/Intellectual/Overall

Jesse - 85/78/98/87
Jeremy - 85/78/96/87
Graham - 96/11/58/55
Jason - 33/90/5/43

So while she would be most physically compatible with Graham (as we saw), they weren't very compatible emotionally. Jason was the most compatible with her emotionally, but their compatibility was lacking in the other two areas. Both Jesse and Jeremy were about equal, with her being just a tad more intellectually compatible with Jesse...

Granted, this is based solely on birthdate alone - this doesn't factor in certain dynamics such as how you were raised and what morals and mannerisms you developed.

I don't know if it means anything to anyone - do with it what you will. But it at least makes me feel better about the outcome.

That would also explain why TPTB doesn't care to show so much details about the "ending" because truly this time all is not as it seems.

I have been mulling this b'ette season and have posted a few times earlier on how things just don't feel right. The questions I was asking myself were:
Why is DeAnna being promoed so much by the show - every week we see her either on ABC website, tv, magazines where she is wearing/modeling gorgeous outfits.
Why did they have the DeAnna Tell All?
Why was DeAnna not allowed to say anything about her F1 until the Men Tell All?
Why did both Graham and Jeremy mention in their post-boot interviews that DeAnna's edit was what we should watch not the men's edit?
Why were some of the men allowed to wear t-shirts that clearly promoed certain companies, when in the past seasons logos were blurred out?
Why was there a "reglular" audience for the MTA, but a "paid" audience for the ATFR?
Why so many "leaks" for DeAnna's choices - Graham's departure; the blatant leak for Jeremy's departure with those photos of him at the party after the MTA which appeared before the MTA was aired; the leak from someone at the ATFR that Jesse is the F1?

My thoughts. After the fallout from the viewing audience from Brad's season ABC needed to make sure there was a love story for future seasons. What better way than to have a bachelor (Matt) or bachelorette (DeAnna) who have aspirations for LA and are willing to follow the "script" in exchange for free promo from ABC. If they should happen to fall in love along the journey - bonus for them. To this mix throw in an struggtling actress (Shayne) and a bachelor (Jesse) who needs the promo time for his endorsement company - both of whom are more than happy to follow a "script". They would both be promised to be kept until at least the final 2 so that if Matt or DeAnna did fall in love with one of their suitors, then Shayne and Jesse could be the "fall guy/gal" who does not get chosen as F1 but were able to get plenty of face time in front of the camera for their own cause. If Matt or DeAnna did not find their mate with anyone else, then take Shayne or Jesse as their F1 (heck maybe they even fell in love, cough, cough) and all parties have had their maximum promo time, the viewing audience gets a supposed fairytale ending - oh well if a few months down the line they separate - at least they tried. LOL

As for DeAnna's season, this has been carefully orchestrated by ABC. Right from the beginnig DeAnna was promoed on Ellen as Ellen had already worked up her viewing audience to have DeAnna as the next bachelorette. ABC definitely played to the romantics in their viewing audience by tugging at our heart strings with DeAnna being portrayed as the mistreated, wounded lady from Brad's season (they threw Brad under the bus to get ratings - how dare he not fall in love or at least pretend to!). Jesse as F1 is definitely going to cause quite a stir with the viewing audience if our message board is any indication (and we know TPTB are aware of this). Whether DeAnna really fell in love with Jesse or just didn't fall in love with Jeremy or Jason (Graham supposedly wanted to leave) the truth is known only by ABC. The DTA served 2 purposes - it gave DeAnna much more face time in an interview setting (think talk show) and starts preparing the viewing audience for the Jesse F1 scenario. The "leaks" are serving the purpose of preparing us before the episode airs when our favorites are not chosen - Graham, Jeremy, Jason. This way there will not be the surprise shock factor and less of a hew and cry from the viewing audience as their was with Brad's surprise ending. With Matt/Shayne and DeAnna/?Jeremy it is a win/win situation for all 4 involved. Why would DeAnna not settle for Graham/Jeremy/Jason? Good question - perhaps they are not entirely comfortable with D's LA aspirations, who knows as it is entirely between D and those gentlemen. Graham/Jeremy/Jason all seem to be good matches for DeAnna and ABC edited them all to that end. Whatever the reason D did not choose one of them, ABC has to move the viewers toward Jesse and how their "love" grew, hence the DTA, leaks, paid AFTR audience (so numbers will be up). So standby Jesse goes to the end - promos and all. If he and DeAnna really fell in love I am still a skeptic until proven otherwise. Maybe we will get a Trista/Ryan story - nah!

And if the rumor mill is correct, the next bachelor may already have been chosen and he has Hollywood connections. Yup, there will be a fairytale ending again because ABC says so. That's my rant and yes I will be watching tonight - I just love movies with happy endings.

I'm sorry, I am not meaning to laugh at you personally. Everyone is entitled to their opinions and I know I have had some pretty goofy ones myself.....


HOWEVER, I can't see how, because Jesse's dad and mom decided to hop in the sack one day in July, and Deanna's mom and dad decided to hop in the sack on a day in February.... that THIS decides whether their offspring will be compatible or not???

Sorry, I'll stick with SCs analysis coupled with a bit of Fleiss' manipulations as being a more accurate, deciding-factor combo.

But hey, KUDOS for trying to figure something new out.

I have questioned that fact that Jason left his son to do a TV show and possibly find love and complete his family? WTH
Ty's mom left him and (then his dad...to go to LA and do a TV show)
Okay to me, that isn't normal.

When Jason said that the first time Ty could crawl he crawled onto a putting green. HUH? I'm a mom and no way would I have my son on the ground to crawl on bermuda grass. Maybe on a quilt but not on grass..
That is just me. I don't like rashes, allergies, sunburns, pesticides or vomiting unkown things..not with a baby... no-way!

I don't think we can judge Jason's parenting abilities from what we've seen on the show. There's no singular right way to be a parent and Jason has demonstrated that he's an attentive and loving father, so I'm sure Ty will turn out just fine. As for Ty crawling on grass, it doesn't seem like a big deal to me, tbh. Ideally, babies should actually be exposed to some germs early on so that they're able to build up immunities while they're young. Even if it means an occasional rash or vomiting spill.

Count me in on that too...it's nice to see the Jesse fans coming out of hiding.

IMO, both great men and I'll be happy with either. It's Deanna's heart, life and choice after all. That said, I really feel Jesse is much more suited to her and that they stand far better a chance of actually making it than Jason/Deanna would. I just firmly believe it would be too much for her, too big a shock to her lifestyle and they would ultimately crumble. Which would be so incredibly sad.
