He wanted to take the time to get to know her better. She grew impatient and gave him an ultimatum. He called her on it and he left. We saw DeAnna change from that point forward. She was crushed. We saw a girl bend herself in half and cry into her hands as he stood to leave. She says to the producers "I came here looking to fall in love, what if that doesn't happen now?" Meaning, at that point, the only person she was sure about was Graham. She had to start over at that point and hopefully one of the connections she had with the remaining guys would be enough to salvage the show. They weren't. She wasn't feeling it with Jeremy. She isn't ready to take on a small child and move to Seattle with Jason. She isn't in love with Jesse either. But choosing Jesse (who we believe to be dishonest about his intentions going in and unfaithful to his g/f) does give her an easy out. She can have the illusion that she's engaged and happy to satisfy the theme of the show, have some fun for a little while, but then walk away, not having to truly hurt the F1 in the end.
Think about it carefully. Think how invested Jeremy already was. If he was F1, imagine the pain and confusion getting out of that one.
Think of what else Jason will invest. If he is F1, imagine the pain and confusion getting out of that one.
Think of Jesse. What has he really invested? They are very good friends. If he is the F1, where is the pain and confusion getting out of that?

I love thi post..had to repond to it...I is EXACTLY WHAT I BELIEVE happened..

Graham would have dated her..not proposed..HE did have Strong and GENUINE feeelings for her..probably up until the the MTA..his friend had said he was STILL trying to figure it all out....

It is ironic that WHAT she wanted from BRAD at the ATFR..she was unable to accept from GRAHAM...DEE told BRAD that he couldn't even choose to DATE her after..and she was upset with BRAD for that..bit Graham had wanted just that...that time to get to know her OUTSIDE OF THE SHOW..she was UNABLE to give him that..


SO she went for the ENDING..or was forced to go on..who knows..all she says now comes from some VERY DEEP and HURT and CONFUSED feelings..

I feel bad for DEE ..and For Graham..for what maybe could have been outside the show..I believe the letter did expresss his true feelings which HE WILL NOT SAY NOW GIVEN THE FACT SHE WENT THROUGH WITH THE SHOW AND IS ENGAGED.....

everytime I watch the previews for the FRC..DEE lOOKS INCREDIBLY SAD...

and I am sad for all tonight....

I don't remember what episode it was in, but somewhere in the middle of the series Jesse (I think -- could have been somebody else, but Jesse was in the room) says something like, In the end it'll be a process of elimination; DeAnna will like a few guys or a couple of guys, and then she'll peel away the ones she sees with liabilities for her and end up with her final guy.

At the time, this seemed like kind of a key remark to me, but much more so now. I wish I could remember where it was from. As I recall, a bunch of the guys were sitting around in the bunkhouse when it was said.
