It's what Bloomers referred to as the "rising storyline." He had the longest intro piece in the premiere, had 1-on-1 time with De by the pool, and got lots of camera shots during that first rose ceremony. But he was still sort of in the background because DeAnna seemed to have such an instant reaction when she saw Jeremy and Graham. As the season progressed, his story kept building. In past seasons, this has led to the F1 spot.

Now, having said that, I've been trying to make sense of the edit and how it could lead to Jesse as F1. It occurred to me that having Jeremy and Graham in the mix allowed the producers to have two sets of an F1/F2. Jeremy and Graham were the "dummy" F1 and F2 while Jesse and Jason were the real F1 and F2. You basically had these two storylines running parallel until Graham's departure. When you compare the guys within each set to each other, you even see the usual F1/F2 dichotomy. With Jeremy and Graham, one guy showed her too much love while the other guy didn't show enough love. One guy was shown to be very open with his feelings and ready to commit. The other guy was portrayed as more reluctant to open up and not ready for any long-term commitment. With Jason and Jesse, you've got the calm, loving dad and the free-spirited wild child. Security and stability versus adventure and unpredictability. It's interesting to note that early in the season when Jason and Jason were thought to be the F2, more than a few people found it odd that the F3 and F4 seemed to be getting the kind of edit and attention that was usually reserved for the F1 and F2. So maybe this idea of a "double" F1/F2 is where the producers decided to go when they looked at the footage they had.

Very good thoughts skylighter! I have been racking my brain trying to figure out the editing too. Everything pointed to F1 being Jason, but something must have happened. D*mn Fleiss for making me care and become addicted to this board! LOL!

Re: Thoughts and Comments in General #3 **Spoilers** Bachelorette 4

Ok, so one more thought/question...
I mean no disrespect for Cape or anyone who has good connections but, I'm hanging onto the bumper of a golf cart being dragged by my heart while ducklings peck at my heels. Isn't it usually important to note that F1 is "color coordinated" with the bach/bachette. Jason is wearing a blue shirt verrrrry similar to the blue in the top of her dress (of course, if some wardrobe flunkie picked the orange tie, they should be fired, then possibly shot).

Or....

Maybe this is just the end for me. Reading all of these posts have sent me over the proverbial edge. This show can NOT end soon enough because I NEED MY LIFE BACK!!!!!!!!! I can only hope that a) I have bought enough Rum to sustain me through the next 43 hours and 7 minutes and b) that I consume it right before she accepts a proposal from Rad-boy. That would be so totally cool. I would be so, like, into that its ridiculous.

Re: Thoughts and Comments in General #3 **Spoilers** Bachelorette 4

My sister and brother-in-law are here and hadn't watched this season of 'The Bachelorette' (which is odd because they love reality shows). I have TIVO'd all of the episodes so we watched the episode where nine were left up until this past week's episode including the "MTA".

My brother-in-law pegged Jesse from the beginning, which surprised me. My sister said Jason, at first, but by the time of the HTD and then the FD, she switched to Jesse.

IMO, that tells me there is definitely a connection between Jesse & DeAnna. My sister is amazing with her perception of people and was bang-on right about some of the other guys including Jason, Jeremy and Graham, which I won't go into because I don't want to upset fanbases, and picked up on things you could normally only find out through sleuthing (as far as how they really are in real life) or actually knowing them in real life. I was shocked at her accounts but she is HIGHLY perceptive. Always has been and is usually right.

They see an amazing connection (drink) between Jesse and DeAnna. My sister says it's because he did it right by becoming friends first, which caused it to move forward in a more normal fashion (as much as one can in a reality show with a deadline). My sister senses, as much as Ty is a sweetheart, DeAnna is not ready for a built-in family. Had she been five years older, who knows, but she is only 26 and that is very young to take on a ready-made family. There were also other things she picked up that really caused me to think twice.

Anyhow, I thought you would like to know impressions made by casual viewers.

They were not a paid audience nor were they pressured to choose anyone specifically.

Thanks Jammie for the viewpoints of your sister and brother-in-law. It just goes to show that people can have very different perceptions of what they see onscreen. I would think that most FORTers have friends who only watch the show and would have picked a different F1. It is mostly not what we see, but what we choose to see.

Oh Jammie, please tell us what your sister thought about the others guys. I mean, we know the ending now, so what could hurt. I would love to know what her perceptions were of each of the final 4. Please, please, please tell.

I saw some posts about DeAnna giving a rose to Ty and that's why her hand is in a fist. But, how can that be if in the kiss scene her palm is open and there is no rose?

If she is not giving Jason a rose, she really shouldn't be giving Ty a rose. I think that would be kind of cruel, even though she probably doesn't mean for it to be.

OK, but remember it's my SISTER who said it and I am just the MESSENGER so drop them stones!

She said Graham seemed to be the type who was a player and a heavy drinker and preferred to be the one doing the choosing, not being the one having to compete for her affection. He likes to call the shots and even though he may be very quiet and internal, he needs control.

She said there is more to Jeremy because no one is perfect and she said she thought he liked to go to the bars and score the women. Not that it makes him a bad person....just a frisky one. And he's single. He's entitled. She also believes inspite of his suave ways, he really did fall for De.

The perception she had with Jason surprised me the most. She thinks he has some deep issues he has yet to really deal with and she pointed out the scene where Ty said, "You're not sad anymore?" Meaning that perhaps before doing this show, he might have come off as sad to Ty. Responsible and a loving dad? Yes, but still...sad. I always thought it was because he was happy to see Ty but she pointed out that a child doesn't say things like that without there being something they have picked up on for some time.

She said she thinks his ex really did a number on him and doing this show was probably one of the best things he could do to really begin to heal. Now that Jason has thrown his hat into the proverbial ring, it may be a bit easier for him to accept someone into his life now and to continue the healing process.

She said Jesse is down to earth and real, which is what attracted De initially and that they jive. She's sees major chemistry between them and believes Jesse is ga-ga head over heels in love with De, more than what he lets on to us, even. And she also sees De light up every time they are together and that she is more herself with him. She sees De gravitate to him more and more. She said De was smitten with Jesse for sure when they went four-wheeling and that even though De says it was the HTD, it was really that four-wheeling date that ignited a fire in her for Jesse. My sister believes they are well-matched and could have a happy, adventurous life together and bond very well.

This is incredibly interesting to me. I have had 5 separate friends, co-workers, and my husband all name their picks and not one has said Jesse. They all wonder why he is still here actually. I at least see some connection now that I am listening to all of you who think there is one, but most of them do not see anything. Most of my friends/family think it is Jason, but one picked Jeremy. My husband said that Graham was attracted to DeAnna, but not really interested in her that much. He is pretty perceptive. His pick is Jason.
