I totally agree with the statement above. I can't see him being any other way in that regard. It's just interesting to me that she is the one making the statements re: hurting them. Keeping him from his son unnecessarily would be hurting him to me.

She made a similar statement to his mom on the HTD where she implied she asked Jason if he wanted the rose on the 1:1 (or wanted to go because of Ty.)

I don't think that keeping Jason away from Ty is reason to believe that Deanna wouldn't keep Jason to the end if she doesn't choose him. He's already been away from Ty for quite a while and I'm sure he has told her that being away for however long she wants to keep around was his choice when he signed up for the show. There were never any guarantees that he would win the girl in the end.

I'm sure the ending we see will be as romantic as they can possibly make it. It always is. What we see may or may not be convincing but they will do their best to make it look good.

From what Twilley and Graham have said about Jesse, it sounds like many of the guys thought he was a real contender and that the edit isn't showing the connection that was really there. Perhaps he was going to be Deanna's choice, especially once Graham was gone. But finding out about the girlfriend changed her mind.

It's possible that Jason is the one she picked after Graham left. (She said she wanted Graham to be the one at the end, so I'm not just pulling Graham into the conversation for no reason. ) And if so then I hope for both of their sakes that it works out but I also hope that they take their time about any relationship outside the show. Deanna has been on an emotional roller coaster throughout this show. It hasn't been a straightforward season where she knew early on and just kind of stuck with that guy the way Meredith did. It doesn't mean it can't ever work with her Final 1 but it does mean that the relationship may not be as far along as some others have been by the FRC and none of the relationships can be that far along even if the Final 1 is picked out by the second show.

Absolutely, atem, I have said more than once that I believe if De was anything less than absolutely 100% sure about her feelings for Jason he would've been back in Seattle by the point that we're at in the show right now (if for no other reason than because she felt guilty (her own words) about keeping him away from Ty).

I agree anders. I'm pretty sure that Jason was not recruited for the show, but that he actually contacted the producers about going on it, because he saw something in De that he wanted to explore further.

That is correct - I believe that he contacted the show and I think that Jeremy was another one who asked to come on for DeAnna. Kinda shows in their manners that they were there for the "right" reasons.

It seems a bit presumptuous to assume we know Deanna well enough to know what she would or would not do if pressed by TPTB. Personally, I find using a 3 year old child in this show high gratuitous. This is supposed to be a show about a man and woman finding each "in a crowd" so to speak. When you start dragging family members (siblings, parents, children) into the mix, IMO you are crossing a certain line. Some are going to say that Ty is part of the Jason package, etc. However, it is Jason she needs to find a connection with first and foremost and the focus should be there - not on his child. IMO bringing Ty into the mix is a shameless ratings ploy.

I don't think that's what I implied - I said that I don't see the harm in handing out a FR with an "let's see where it could go" Now if the show made them date for six months or a year or made them get married LOL to pretend that the show guaranteed a lasting relationship - that would be a different story.

I agree. I would far rather see an ending that said we are going to give this a try in real life. Much more believable.
