That left her with 3 men. We seem to know that tonight she lets Jeremy go---knowing what we know about their relationship (regardless of whether or not you believe she is in love with him in any way, it is obvious that they became close) she will obviously be very upset by this decision as well. That will leave her with 2. Even if she is totally thinking "ok, I know what I want, and it's Jason", won't finding out that Jesse has, in effect, been lying to her all along make her question her judgment and the integrity of the guys in general? Someone discussed earlier on how the order of the HTDs could have impacted their outcome, because you have feelings that carry over from one life event to another---ie; you have a bad day at work, so you come home and snap at your husband, who in turn kicks the dog---and before all the animal rights activists yell at me, don't worry, we have cats and frogs, not dogs, and no one kicks anyone in our house---it's just an example. What I mean is, if DeAnna was trusting Jesse---not even necessarily falling for him, just trusting him---and she found out that she was THAT wrong---might that not lead her to feel that she has to question everything that she has thought to be true?? I'm not saying it is rational, or merited, and I am certainly not saying that the other guys lied to her---I'm just saying, wouldn't it be human nature, and wouldn't it be self-preservational, for her to say "whoa---what else don't I know, and what else have I been wrong about?"
I think that a lot of people, even seasoned FORTers buy into the whole concept of the show. That the star has all these great people to choose from and they are torn about their decisions to the very end. Do we really think that these guys and gals are so willing to commit if they weren't sure until an hour before the FRC who they would pick? We've heard from Andrew that Jen was F1 early on, from Byron that he knew Mary was "the one" and clued her in, and there was never a doubt in Andy's mind that Tessa was the F1, etc. The ones who DID have a hard time making a decision clearly showed--Brad, PLo.

As a Jeremy fan, when I watched the 1:1 for Jason and DeAnna, and the special alone time after the 2:1, I knew Jason was the one. I think from seeing DeAnna's body language that she pretty much knew too, and until HTD her only hesitation was her being accepted by his family and son. Who knows at what point Jason knew.

But the format of the show is not to show a happy couple for 6 weeks, but to play up the drama with the others that the star does not pick then POOF at the end they present a love story. I don't see DeAnna crying when Graham left as a huge sign--she cried for Fred, AND she got so upset that she had to leave in an earlier rose ceremony. Do I think she was devastated by those 2 cuts? Nope. Just as I don't think that she was "devastated" by Graham leaving. We know from past contestants that they can use some pretty harsh tactics to get an emotion for a particular scene.

We may never know, but if Graham knew he was leaving, and DeAnna knew he was leaving, and TPTB knew also, then what a great chance to throw some scripted drama into the mix. It would be hard to pass up, especially if DeAnna and TPTB knew that they already had a love story on their hands with DeAnna and Jason. For them the bottom line is not about the love story, but about the story they can present to draw in the most viewers.

I just cannot envision Deanna disappearing into a life of wife and motherdom (yes, I realize that "motherdom" is not a word). She has a big world opening up to her right now, and while she values family and homelife, IMO she wants both. She could have both with some of these guys, but with Jason, her opportunities will not be the same. That's why I am hoping for a "let's try this out in real life" ending. Best of both worlds.

I guess I just don't see DeAnna's life with Jason to be boring. I know there's a child involved, and that Jason works more of a 9-5 type job, but I think that they could still manage to do some of the things that DeAnna enjoys. From what we have seen, it looks like Jason is very into sports and exercise, and these are both things that seem to really appeal to DeAnna, too. Being a stepmom will not have to keep her from having an enjoyable, active lifestyle; it could actually enhance it. Even if she were to pick Jesse there would still have to come a time when they would have to "grow up." A relationship can't be based just on excitement, or it will eventually fizzle out, once the excitement does. I may be totally fooled here, but I do see the love story with DeAnna and Jason, and I just can't wait to watch it all play out.

It is all in the edit. Last season Brad owned 3 bars, so it was more conducisive to edit DeAnna as the Bartender ( although we found out from other media sources that she also sold real estate as well). They played up all of the drama in the house and the brutally honest "hard" side of Deanna. However, it is important to note that the theme of family ran through the entire season as well as it does this one. She has always thought family was the most important thing in her life, and that is what she wanted the most : family and one of her own. She never said last year she wanted to be in entertainment. She said she wanted family.

This season her F1 is a business executive, and she as the Bachelorette needs to be more sophisticated than a bartender, so we have them focus in on her other vocation ( which is probably the one she was already trying to build even last season with Brad) which is real estate.
By being a Realtor, we symbolically have DeAnna who finds homes for everyone else, looking for that hearth and home for herself and her family in her quest for a husband on the Bachelorette.

**Sorry! This one should have been posted to someone else, but it does probably answer some of the questions, I think? <gentle smile>

I'm with you here! I'd still like to see that fire-blowing scene that was provided in caps but never shown (or I missed it when/if it was shown). That'll be a fun way to entertain little Ty on a slow afternoon at home....

Very good point. Thanks Bloomers! I guess I am thinking that since she clearly wants to move to that next stage of her life as a wife and mother that a job in real estate which is considered "more professional" is what she should be concentrating on. I just don't see too many married, moms working as bartenders (unless of course, you're Roxy on "Army Wives" (even though technically I think she is really a waitress in a bar)). A bartender seems more like a young, single girl profession.

Ok, but the edit is not necessarily what is real. I think we all agree on that point.

No, but if you have a chance at being on DWTS or having a talk show as opposed to bartending, you might just want to grab at it! Of course, that involves being in LA for extended time periods. Probably not conducive to a relationship....

Jesse's character assassination is not going to convinced me. He seems like a great guy and DeAnna is even more likable around him. I think he beats the Grahams and the Crackers hands down. Some people like to drool over appearances (Graham) others like to throw up (Graham). To each his own. And as far as Jason (who is I'm sure a great guy and probably the F1), I don't see him in love, nor I see DeAnna falling madly for him.... and that's just my opinion folks
