Also... did anyone tell Jesse that DeAnna was dating other guys while she was on this show??? He wasn't actually going out with someone in person, was he? (fact or fiction?) Forters seemed to celebrate a past contestant named Jenni for having someone to go home to when she wasn't "it" out of 25 others.

The rumor that I read on the mothership board said that Sean had family that lived close to DeAnna's hometown and that they have some kind of encounter on the porch of his relatives. I can't recall if it was just DeAnna or some of DeAnna's family as well that gets to know Sean's relatives. They were making it seem as though Sean and DeAnna would be getting together after the show b/c she'd pick no one or Jason would not pick her, etc. I totally discounted it.

But what if they were right about a meeting or encounter but not as to the reasons they met such as to let DeAnna know about Pinnochio?

It is my understanding that Jenni and her man were broken up when she went on the show. They got back together after her time on the show. You know the old saying absense makes the heart grow fonder. As for Jesse he went on the show to promote, not to find love because he already had a gf. That there is the difference between the two.

I can't speak for anyone but myself, but for me, the fact that DeAnna specifically asked Jesse on their 1-1 Natasha Bedingfield date if he had ever cheated on a gf, and he said "no, I've never been one to cheat---I would break it off first" or something to that effect, would make it unforgivable for him to have had a gf at home for the duration of the filming of this show. It would no longer be lying by omission, it would be lying outright---and that's just not a cool thing, no matter how you try to justify it. In Jesse's defense, I doubt he thought he had a shot in He11 of being in the final 2, so he probably thought it wouldn't be an issue. I have no VERIFIED info on his girlfriend, but from the rumors I have read, in numerous places, some seeming to be from actual friends of the girlfriend, it seems that his gf was in fact a girlfriend, even during filming, and didn't think that they were "on a break" or in any other way broken up. JMO based on the info we've been given.

When Jesse signed the contract to appear on this show, he did so with the understanding that he would be 1 out 25 Bachelors all of whom would be dating the same Bachelorette with the goal of ending up the F1. That is the whole premise of the show, so I don't see how he couldn't know she would be dating other guys besides him.

If Jesse had told DeAnna right up front that he had this girlfriend back home, and she still continued to give him roses dispite that info, then there would be no deceit involved. The deceit comes in when we consider that DeAnna is looking for a husband, and she thinks her suitors have come to her unencumbered and ready to seek a relationship with her.

Although there was considerable talk about Jenni dating Russell while we were watching the episodes being shown, there was never any talk of the two of them having been together just prior to her joining the show.

It was understood that she had dated Russell for a very long time, but that they had broken up - clearly broken up. That was never disputed.

I think what may have happened is that when she got cut at the FRC, she called Russell and cried on his shoulder ( contract or not), and he was there to pick up the pieces at the airport. That also explains all of the posts which indicate that they were dating while we were seeing the show.

It is also interesting that he didn't kiss De on the Natasha Bedingfield date ---or after the ATV date - he holds her hand under the table by the pool. Hmmm. . . I think he was trying to be "faithful" to the girl back home in some way. Then, on HTD, he kisses her in virtual darkness on the sleighride. Yep, Jesse was hiding something, his behavior shows it. Also, we all noticed the promotion of his various items on the show, that was pretty darn obvious. Motivation is key in human behavior. Everyone was concerned about Matt/Shayne's motivations last season in terms of seeking fame. Here we have Jason with pure motives and Jeremy with honest motives and Jesse uhhhh, what a contrast.

I keep wondering if one of the bachelors was either a cousin, or previous boyfriend. The bachelor who was Greek might be a family friend and heard about Jesse's girlfriend from Jesse while he was in the outhouse.

He was probably telling himself, Well, "cheat" means "have sex with," so, no, I'm not doing that right now. You know, it always depends on what the meaning of "is" is.

Either that or he's a liar who doesn't even care to try to justify his lying to himself. Maybe he just figures that no one takes anything seriously on reality tv anyway, so why should he.

Provided they are what they seem, I'd say that the most recent pictures make it pretty clear that at least his girlfriend-or-not thought that she was, in fact, a girlfriend during the season.

Of course, this is the opinion of someone who never felt comfortable about a single word Jesse said to or about DeAnna. I can't explain why, but I always felt that everything he said to or about falling for her had a phony ring to it. I hope that she has only kept him around because he'd be an easy-to-dump guy. If she actually fell for his line, I worry for her perceptions about men.
