You've probably read my observations of Graham over in the BLF thread but, essentially, he comes across as very guarded, protecting himself, uncomfortable, awkward, shy and not quite as invested in DeAnna as she is in him at this point.

Hi Lynn and Piper
I thought it was Sean who made the comment about "rather be digging his own grave then what I am about to do". That is who it sounded like to me...not that we have gotten to hear a whole lot of Sean's voice to compare. Thanks

ETA: Then again, the way he pulled back from DeAnna's initiated kiss this past rose party, maybe their beach kiss wasn't something he would write home about...he says the words to stay, but he isn't all that into DeAnna.
I noticed that also. Which leads me to believe that he does see DeAnna as falling for him and may, in fact, let the producers know he wants to leave so that DeAnna has a chance to focus more on someone who would like to go all the way to the F2 with her. Kinda puts him in control of a situation he's seems to have been uncomfortable with all alone.

Graham pulling away from DeAnna when she kissed him seemed to be a spontaneous reaction on his part and clearly showed his lack of interest in DeAnna. Some of it could also be that things are simply moving to fast for his nature and making him uncomfortable and he feels a need to remove himself.

I think that Graham thought the kiss was over and wasn't anything to do with a lack of interest. Maybe they were in view of the house and he didn't feel comfortable making out. If you watch the way he's holding both her hands when they stand up you can tell he is interested not to mention the way he strokes her hands and arms.

Agree... he was holding both of her hands and intertwined with them... As for the kiss, I think Graham is a bouncy guy and he was a bit giddy after the kiss, bounced back a bit, but was ready and willing to come back for more...

Re: Behind the Edit **SPOILERS**

Hello! I'm a newbie to this board. I've been reading the back and forth about Graham's "nothing to write home about" comment and just had to get my two cents in. This is how I recall it:

Graham came back, the guys asked, "how was the date," to which he replied, "amazing." The guys asked "where did you go," to which he replied, "the beach." Later, when he was sitting he made the comment, "it was nothing to write home about, as far as..." and he never got to finish his statement. Either he was edited or cut-off by the guys talking over each other (which they were doing the entire time). When considering the comment, what does "it" refer to? Do we really know? It wasn't a response to a direct question...it seemed to come out of the blue. He could've been talking about any element of the date....even the kite flying for all we know. It wouldn't make sense to come in smiling, saying the date was amazing, only to decide it wasn't worth writing home about. Oh well...that's my take.

Re: Behind the Edit **SPOILERS**

I think Deanna is being edited pretty much the same in this show as in the last. I guess your opinion of her depends on how you view the edit (both of her and the other cast). I don't think many posters see a difference. In both edits, Deanna has said she is who she was portrayed on the shows.

Graham: Great transcsript Piper
Graham seems like the square peg that Deanna is determined to fit in the round hole

Re: Behind the Edit **SPOILERS**

My two cents on Graham.. He seems like a nice guy, one that’s not use to sharing the girl he’s dating let alone his feelings about her with the other guys she’s dating at the same time. Sharing his feelings with De also makes him uncomfortable, but maybe he’s not sure how open to be at such an early point, because of his lack of experience in relationships, and therefore it comes across as commitment issues in his behavior. when it really could be just lack of experience..

What a great first post cardsgrl. ITA and TPTB always do that, take things our of context.
Anyway I like your take, keep posting

I like it, Cardsgrl.

I wonder if Graham's lack of experience is more that he doesn't usually have to work or compete to get the girl and he's out of his element. He didn't say he never dated, just that he'd only been in love once. I'll be interested to see his 1 on 1 time at the racetrack tonight since they only showed the bad stuff in the preview but there's also a pic of them smiling and holding hands.
