Copperdawn ! I loved what you wrote here to LaLou...and LaLou, no your post was not boring at all and ITA with it. I was just waiting with baited breath for more of Piper's editing brilliance, as I am certain many of us were!

Copper...I totally missed the editing of the hummingbird in that scene. I wonder what it means...and love the Seals and Crofts Summer Breeze reference...at the risk of dating myself! thanks

DISSECTION OF JESSE MAKING PAST FINAL 6 to FINAL 2

I wanted to comment on earlier post re: conversation around the pool when Twilley and Jason where discussing final four. In their eyes ... Graham was 1; Jer was 2; and then Twilley says, "does that make you the 4th?" I don't think we should assume that Jason/Twilley thought that the 3rd was Jesse. After all, we know that Deanna and Sean had what seemed to be a great date plus they shared kiss. Deanna said so herself that if she had a rose, she would have given it to Sean on the date. So pretty certain that our Kentucky guy was pretty thrilled post date and very confident in discussions with guys. My gut says Sean was the third they were considering.

But, after watching bits of Monday's episode again, I finally realized WHY JESSE at F4...

1. He doesn't kiss her. She is intrigued by his daredevil side and wants to see if the chemistry is there. He's very funny and leads a pretty cool life. I bet ANYTHING that if they had kissed and she was not impressed with chemistry, he would have left and Sean would have taken his place. But ... there is stilll more for her to figure out and since Jesse is not all ga-ga over her yet, she wouldn't be leading him on by keeping him another week. Whereas when she compared Sean with any of the other three whom she had shared kisses, his kiss had the least passion for her.

After watching screencaps for HTD, I finally see WHY JESSE at F3 ...

Did you see Jesse flying through the air as a pro snowboarder? I am 42 year old working mom and even I felt my heart race a bit seeing Jesse in all his glory. I am sure that's going to play big - he's on his home turf and probably has quite the crew of folks all adoring him so that's got to be exciting to be around. Versus Graham who yes is a hotty but to have no relationship lasting more than 4 weeks at 30ish years old is a HUGE RED FLAG for someone like Deanna who is petrified of another commitment phobe. And, bottom line, her feelings are just not strong enough to risk it.

WHY JESSE at FINAL 2 ...

By default ... De knows that Jeremy's feelings are too strong and she'd hurt him. She knows Jason is her pick. So that's why it's a no brainer to pick Jesse.

And then it's all ...

GO JASON GO JASON GO JASON GO!!

Went to Palm Springs/Palm Desert a few years ago and stayed at the Marriott Hotel there [some tie in with Saved By The Bell...Jessie's father/aerobic instructor wedding] and their logo was the hummingbird. Saw a number of them on the golf course and on property. Must be a good breeding area...

Yes, I agree with your thoughts on Jesse. There is just no way I can see this great romantic attraction developing over the next two weeks to make him F2. It has to be friendship, or he interests her because he is so different, or she just likes to have him around. And if it is true that on his date to meet her family the ex-girlfriend thing is revealed, it will be a less than wonderful LCD and FRC for him, I think. He is definitely not being edited as the "winner", at least not yet.
