Great work Piper!

Ironically, the comment they show coming from Graham's mother is fits right in with the edit they've shown so far.....I can certaintly see why....

I wonder if her family has wanted her to choose Jeremy throughout the whole show.. or if they switched to someone else.. perhaps after a certain one on one star gazing date hehe?

Did Trista ever say she was in love during her season or afterwards? What were her responses? Anyone remember?
I think she did, but I honestly don't remember.

I thought he said Graham. When did most of the posters want DeAnna to choose Jeremy?

They wanted us to think it was filmed right before the 6 to 4 cut, but in reality, it wasn't. If it was, none of the show would have yet aired, and she mentioned several times about watching the show. But she couldn't say she was in love, because remember, it wasn't suppose to seem like it was NOW.

It was friends/family & fans. I don't remember her saying posters about Jeremy.

Re: Behind the Edit **SPOILERS**

Just curious, but during the DTA when De says something like "I think my husband is here" (which she said with quite an impish smirk) did anyone else get the impression that although they were trying to make it seem like the interview took place at the 6-guy point in time what she was really saying was "in real time, when this interview is actually taking place, my HUSBAND is literally HERE at the interview with me, watching me tape this chatty little convo with CH"? I just had a sneaking feeling that the husband (or husband to be) who she referred to was actually there with her whenever this was taped--perhaps it was taped in the midst of one of their secret post-show hookups that TPTB arrange. And while I'm spouting my theories, wasn't Jeremy confirmed to have been in LA the same weekend as DeAnna a few weeks ago?

It's difficult for many writers/storytellers to keep a story in a consistent verb tense. That's why a commonly used proofing/editing abbreviation is vt or ts, for verb tense or tense shift. Fleiss wants this in the present tense of air time not filming time. Generally speaking, the use of present tense attempts to recreate the immediacy of real time.

As I said upthread somewhere, those who are doubtful of a happy ending may view the DTA's method of storytelling (which, I contend, is part of the whole storyline arc this season) as equivocation and subtrefuge--whereas those who are hopeful there is a happy ending may view the DTA as part of the unfolding of the love story in a perhaps excruciatingly slow attempt at suspense and possibly also as an attempt to elicit empathy for the real-time dilemmas De faced. I have read both views here, so maybe the storytelling, though imperfect, is working.

I know the editing last season was criticized for its transparency of story (with the final outcome readily apparent). I actually think there's comparatively more complexity this season, and I think the editors may have learned some things about effective storytelling in a soap opera/romance genre.

I was consistently taught to take an idea and develop it; as a result it is usually very difficult for me to be concise. However, to make it succint - their new team learned a whole lot since last season!

*The editing was terrible last season.

Thanks for editing. Even more concisely: it sucked.
