Can someone/ anyone PLEASE explain the Jesse edit?

He appears from the beginning to be a PLAYER. His edit shows him creating doubt with the guys and playing the devil's advocate (his own words). He encourages conflict (Ron/Jeremy) and plays on the guys doubts/fears. NO WONDER all the guys post-show dislike him!

I have rewatched all the episodes and yes Jesse is in the middle of everything!

So after watching him for the "entire season" (almost) be one edited character... I am supposed to watch closely the last 3 episodes and BELIEVE he is a completely different person? If they wanted us to like the couple in the end...they should have edited him to be a more like-able person earlier on!

I "bought" into the "DeAnna wanting to find her fairy tale"....and with Jesse as F1... I am not seeing it.

Sorry De, you are NO longer the victim.... your fans are.... and most of us have jumped off of the De-train to the Jason-train, Graham-train, Jeremy-train, etc..... you are on your own!

The change of clothes and the haircut did cr*p for my interpretation of his edit. Sleazy snake oil salesman from beginning to end. Learned how to BS as a kid on the pipe he did....

Ok. Here goes. Jesse's edit.

Jesse is the guy that was by DeAnna's side at all opportunities. A couple of examples from early on through their last group date in Palm Springs: When we are shown them walking into Dodger stadium Jeremy is on one side of DeAnna, Jesse is on the other, the rest of the guys are hanging back. He sat himself next to her during the fireworks show at Dodger stadium. At the dude ranch he was one of the quickest guys to jump to her rescue when she fell off the bull -- which has been noticed and mentioned multiple times by DeAnna. At the bbq Jesse was actually hanging with DeAnna in most of the shots that we were shown and he appeared to have gotten up and gone after DeAnna after she left upset. In Palm Springs Jesse was the one that was putting DeAnna's gear on her and the one that handed her a towel as she got out of the pool. Go back and watch the group interactions, Jesse was usually either the first or one of the first guys to give her a hug.

Jesse is the guy that was always there, stressing the importance of friendship in a relationship. DeAnna stated that she was "sick" about him and wanted him to kiss her. This was all prior to the HTD's. At the HTD's the romantic connection with Jesse was formed and it grew during the FD's. So while the *love story* was there all along it was very hidden up until the HTD's.

Mike Boogie!! Yes, that's who I thought of too!! I even thought of Sean Penn from Ridgemont High. The side by side pictures would be hilarious.

I told my hub early on that he totally reminded me of Spicoli!! That would be hilarious, for sure!

Ok, but what does that have to do with his edit?

Maybe Jesse *did* fall for her but I don't see a romantic edit for Jesse. I don't see a heartstrings type of edit for Jesse. Certainly if he were F1, Fleiss would have played up the romance...with more romantic music.... replayed the kisses, or at least edited them to be longer (as Fleiss has done in previous seasons!). The only reason I can see the lovely edit for Jason, is if Jason is NOT F1, then they want Jason for next bachelor.

In the recap the other night, she says that Jesse brings out a different side of her. So if that parallels with what Trista said....oh,no.
