But, it looks like Jason meets them on his own and then comes back when Jesse is there. We see screen shots of De & Jason both in black tops with her family. Then we see Jason coming back in a lavendar top when Jesse is already there. The parents are dressed in different clothes also. Makes me go hmmmmmm?

Tomorrow we will get the full description so we should know a little more.

Cheers, Life! Thanky muchly for answering my queries! It would be awfully suspicious if Jason suddenly hijacks Jesse’s family visit. But as Candimichele mentions, it sounds like there’s going to be a group party. I can’t help but wonder how Jesse is going to handle that.

From what we’ve seen of Jason, he seems to be more easygoing in group situations. Jesse has the sweaty palm thing happening, and I keep thinking back to the ep five rose ceremony when D wasn’t in the mansion when the guys arrived. Jesse appeared to be in such a panic when approaching Jason for an explanation. Also, a group party would really play up the dichotomy between the two guy’s families. D equated Jason’s kin to her own “big fat Greek family” while the dinner with Jesse’s folks was more intimate. Jesse may be out of his element in this situation, no?

Case in point they did not show the bedroom with Jason but they did with both Jer & Jes? Why do you say, well methinks there were way too many fireworks going on outside on the balcony between Jason & De and if they would have shown us them in the bedroom there would be no reason for another show. I think they wanted us to think Jesse was getting the better suite b/c they were trying to sell to us that Jesse is in the running.

You had another question about meeting the parents at the same time but I answered that to the best of my knowledge upthread.

Yeah. ITA with you there. One has to wonder why we saw what we did with Jesse and Jeremy in the suite and not Jason. You could well be onto something with that. It’s definitely a red flag that could go either way. They kept Jason hidden to leave more to the imagination and to build up the others or they kept him hidden to throw us off the scent. Jesse’s edit had a big acceleration tonight in regard to romantic contact, so I’m guessing that was done to help make him a more believable F1. As the hare, Jesse was racing to the finish line (He made bold statements. He’s got the dream girl… how does he keep her? By telling her directly she’d better be ready for marriage to him?). As the tortoise, Jason was continuing at pace (He thanks her for his ability to love again, gives her an emblem of inner peace, but doesn’t bring up getting married, instead opting to show how they’d be as a couple and as parents.)

Re: Behind the Edit **SPOILERS**

They didn't show Jason's and DeAnna's suite. Just the balcony and the sofa and the sofa was even outside.

Jason also said something about fairytales again...anyone notice that?

I just love the part of Ty wanting a rose.

Re: Behind the Edit **SPOILERS**

Piper - great job (as always) in recapping what we saw last night (oops - I typed sawl at first - how dumb is THAT).

My take, and since I can't record and rewatch the show I only react as it airs and take more of a 10,000 foot view than a detailed blow-by-blow analysis:

Jeremy's date - looked for all the world to me like two people the morning after they partied, had too much to drink, and did the horizontal mambo all night. They wake up for breakfast and realize - they don't have a single word to say - they hardly know each other - and can't wait to go home and take a shower. One of those situations where you're thinking "Note to self - don't drink that much tequila on an empty stomach". Every bit of communications and interaction looked forced and they seemed uncomfortable with each other. I knew (because I follow FORT) that Jeremy got sent home, and I think Dede had her mind made up before the date as well so maybe the discomfort came from her knowing what she was going to do. The edit certainly supported the decision she was going to make.

Jesse's date - I know I'm out of sequence from the way the dates aired - but I like chocolate cake and I love the icing so when I eat it, I save the icing for last. Jesse was sort of Jesse - always the salesman, always making the sales pitch to Dede. I reacted - negatively - to how many times he kissed her - after NOT kissing her for so long. The kisses were out of place most of the time though. Not exactly like he was trying to make up for lost time - more like forced. "OK - it's been 10 minutes - have to kiss De ... Oops missed De and kissed the horse - try again ..." I actually thought the full story behind the initial refusal of the FS card was one of the funniest things of the whole season and Jesse pulled off the joke well. A gold star to Jesse for a sense of humor. But the date didn't look genuine - more like staged for TV - oh wait - this IS TV.

Jason - Ah - the creamy chocolate icing at last ... They looked very much like a couple. Appropriate balance of affection combined with two people just having fun together. I liked Dede's observation when 4-wheeling that she appreciated Jason "taking chances" while he drove the Jeep (I'm new at this Piper - is this where you say "Red Flag"). He wasn't reckless but he also had a slightly heavy foot. They just seemed to be very relaxed together and enjoying each other's company. Not every interaction - even in the compressed world of speed dating - has to be serious conversation - they made time for relaxed fun and the edit catches this. Like a honeymoon couple who KNOW they "have a room" so they don't HAVE to do it on the beach. Nothing wrong with that either as long as you can keep sand out of things. In the room - we've seen the SC of the first "major kiss" already but it was definitely heating things up. The second one (we've heard about it from Lynn7) started to get really hot. Put together, these were not pecks on the cheek - this was leading somewhere. If this was a Cialis commercial, this is where the doorbell rings or the kitchen sink sprays water. We don't know what happens but in my view there was no need to show them on the bed (which actually looked awkward and staged on the other two dates). Like with "sexy" pictures - sometimes the biggest turn-on is NOT the full nude shots but the ones with just a little clothing so that your imagination can take over. A good edit IMHO.

The summary from 20,000 feet:

Jeremy - the awkward morning after with someone you really don't know
Jesse - a date with the pushy used car salesman whose saying what he thinks you want to hear
Jason - what you do on your honeymoon after the first 48 hours with room service

Love this re-cap!

Watching Jesse's date was like watching an infomercial. So staged and set up. I totally melted during Jason's date and he looked HOT!

Shamelessly quoting myself to bring up this topic/theme again. One of my very astute friends, Estella, pointed out the connection last night between the line I bolded above and a comment that Jason makes in his montage during the MTA. I thought it was a tremendous catch and thought I'd point it out here, for further discussion.

"Jason: There’s not just one thing that I love about DeAnna. It’s a million tiny little things. But if one thing sticks out more than anything, it’s the way that DeAnna looks at the world and the way that we all look at her."

It could just be a coincidence, but either way, I think it's great.

If she doesn't pick him, I'm totally going to

Didn't they do "magic" on the magic date where De and Jason disappeared, holding hands, to their 1 on 1 time?

I picked up on that as well & I went back to the ATV date to see how things have changed...

ATV:
DeAnna: "Jason took it kinda easy, he is just very straightlaced. He just rode it one straight way."

Kayak:
Jason: "Now we have to spin real quick that way!"
DeAnna: "Nah, we'll just go straight"
Jason: "Just go straight?!?" ... "Okay, lets just go straight"
DeAnna: giggles

Oh, and I have to say, I freaking loved Jason's bum wiggle while waiting for DeAnna to open the door at her dad's. Jesse looked petrified out of his head when the doorbell rang

ETA: In my humble opinion, Jason got the following edit last night: He was confident, sexy hot, honest, sexy hot, emotional, sexy hot, vulnerable, sexy hot, strong, sexy hot, funny, sexy hot, damn affectionate & did I mention sexy hot?

Yes. He said it was like they were on their honeymoon and when he saw the suite, he said it was like a fairy tale! (there's that word again).
