Graham came back, the guys asked, "how was the date," to which he replied, "amazing." The guys asked "where did you go," to which he replied, "the beach." Later, when he was sitting he made the comment, "it was nothing to write home about, as far as..." and he never got to finish his statement. Either he was edited or cut-off by the guys talking over each other (which they were doing the entire time). When considering the comment, what does "it" refer to? Do we really know? It wasn't a response to a direct question...it seemed to come out of the blue. He could've been talking about any element of the date....even the kite flying for all we know. It wouldn't make sense to come in smiling, saying the date was amazing, only to decide it wasn't worth writing home about. Oh well...that's my take.
and welcome cardsgrl! Great first post and hope you continue to keep posting.

I have trouble keeping up when they switch back and forth and being deaf, if they are still talking while moving the camera away from their face, I have not a clue what is going on. They do that often to throw everyone off and really bad on the VO by splicing. Some of the posters who hear, have written of this.

OK... I just finished watching the Jesse/Deanna date and cannot wait to read Piper's and Bloomer's takes on it (no rush!! ). I found many of the PI's very interesting.

I think that the "kid in a candy store" comment was actually said about Jason on the observatory date. Jesse was impressed but not acting like a kid in a candy store.

This isn't really editing, it's more camera work, but I absolutely loved the little shot of the wilted flowers in the vase after the party broke up and someone mentioned getting/wanting a rose.

Re: Behind the Edit **SPOILERS**

I was watching this episode with this thread in mind, and I was thinking it was just loaded. I no longer have a VCR in my house, so I couldn't record it to play back, but I too am waiting ( and I know it takes Piper hours ) for the transcription. It took me hours too, but that was because I am so computer illiterate that I don't know how to bring those multiple blue boxes in one post and answer them.

Anyway, I will start with a couple of biggies. DeAnna asked Jessie: "Did you ever cheat on your ex girlfriend?" He stated that no he didn't because he would break up with her first. Many ha-ha...We have been hearing from several sources that he came in to the show with girlfriend in tow and are now hearing that he broke up with her really late in the process. Therefore, not only did he cheat on the girlfriend, but he lied to DeAnna. We are told that DeAnna is going to find out about this sometime around her Parents' meeting. I stated once before that I would not like to be standing in front of the fan when the whatsit hits it.

How 'bout DeAnna coming "home" upset after a long hard day and Jason is there (in his temporary home too) to help her deal with her problems. Of course the show didn't tell us that he graduated with a degree in psychology, but nevertheless instead of typically trying to fix the problem like most men would do or trying to have a little fricky-fricky with her ( because of course that fixes everything), he says, "Do you want to talk about it?" Only when she is calmed down and the angst is gone, does he cuddle and go for the hot kiss.

Jason is not perfect. He is shown jealous, as he is aware by reading the nonverbal clues that DeAnna is really into Graham on a different level than she is on any of the rest of them, and it is hurting him.

Speaking of Graham....he is beginning to lose it. It is no longer difficult for me to see how he is going to go from F1 to F4. He simply can not handle this process at all.

Graham is getting the "can't handle the process" and Jeremy is getting the "too competitive" and maybe a little too possessive edit.

By next week, we may be able to see a little more clearly why those two are F3 and F4.

I really liked Sean this week. He came out a little to late, but he might not have been a bad match for her. He certainly was saying and doing the right things tonight.

Ok...somebody else.

Re: Behind the Edit **SPOILERS**

^ so Jason has a psych degree?? It was definitely made clear tonight that he has done some probing and has managed to get De to talk about how she feels about the other guys. Thats a big advantage, he knows how to react to her from that info. Think it was also stated somewhere that he saw her on Bach 11 and really wanted to meet her. Knew to ask about her mother, etc. Sounds like there may be a more subtle competitiveness to 'sweet' Jason than meets the eye!!
