You know I kinda like Ron... I know he and Jeremy (who I also like) are at odds but I've enjoyed his convos with DeAnna and time on the screen.

This particular cap (thanks K9Mom for all of these!) when he says "it's not his house" just cracks me up

Is it Monday yet? I can't wait until this guy leaves the show. I can't stand him. He is a Total Jerk, if I ever saw one. No wonder he is 38 , single and divorced. I'll bet he stays that way too. JMO I hope he dosen't show up for the MTA, I don't think I can stand another minute of him on the screen.

Sheesh. Divorces happen. Sometimes one party is a dirtbag, but sometimes the couple is two basically good people who just couldn't make it work for whatever reason.

I propose the idea that we don't really know which is true about Ron. Remember that Fleiss takes hours of footage and creates a character from that footage. Sometimes that character is a pretty good reflection of the person in real life; sometimes it is not.

But I think it's a pretty big leap to insinuate that someone who is divorced is so -- "no wonder" -- because they are a Total Jerk.

I think Ron might be getting a bad edit. I don't think he is a good match for DeAnna, but I don't have any proof he is a bad person

I agree - I like Ron... he just has the balls to say what everyone else is thinking ( I like Simon Cowell too btw LOL) Deanna did the same thing in the Brad season, and I admired her for that. If I was Ron (or any other guy in the house) I'd be ticked at Jeremy too for some of the things he's said. "welcome to OUR house" and the "better luck next time" comment when he won the home run context (I think he's said a few more too) were very cocky comments IMO

Ron has a very strong personality - Deanna is much the same, so I don't think
they'd get along very well in the long run.

He intrigues her because he is very similar to her. She's shown herself to be rude and abrasive (remember Jade.....) and yet she is drawn to him. They definitely would not make a good match - too volatile, she needs someone who softens her.

On that note - I like Ron, I like that he speaks his mind. He's not the only one to show jealousy but Fleiss has definitely highlighted/edited it with him.

Ryan was much worse when he called Jeremy a 'dick'.

Again, we don't know how shaded Ron's edit it, although he does clearly speak his mind and we're led to believe he's not very self-censored about it. We do know he leaves the show soon, but I agree that if he were in contention for F3 or higher, it'd be pretty valid to question whether or not he and Deanna would be a good match based on strength of personality.

I do think that a very strong woman needs either a very strong man who she feels safe and disarmed enough with to yield and be vulnerable, or she needs a sensitive, nurturer-gardener type -- not literally a gardener, but you know, one who tends well to his "garden," the woman he's with. Or, best-case scenario, a man who is a combination of the above!

I just took exception to the divorce = Total Jerk thing. I wasn't sure that the characterization was fair to Ron OR to divorced people in general.

I like Ron too. I would much rather someone tell me like it is than have me guessing at what they are thinking, therefore I appreciate his outspokeness.
