As far as Jesse being on there for promotion of himself and his sponsors stuff.

Think about this Shayne's own father said she was on the show to further her career. She basically agreed but said she would have left if she was not into Matt (did she really mean that, we will never know)

Shayne promoted a line of clothing while on the show and had posters begging to know where to get her shoes, sunglasses, lipgloss you name it not to mention the whole line of clothing she wore. Her "sponsors" got plenty of mileage from this so no telling if she got compensated and TPTB probably knew and did not care, so why is Jesse so different?

Sounds like he has just been a lot more up front about this than many, everyone who knows him and snowboarding knows he promotes zero gloves and his tees say zero right on them.

If it were not for the GF rumors (which I am still not sure what to make of-yes there is something but just what remains tbd) I would actually think Jesse is more of stand up guy than some for being up front.

I think if Jesse gets called out next episode it would have been shown in promos, but just have to wait and see, only one more day

anyone thoughts on shayne promo for herself and products vs. Jesse?

(I don't see many boarders being fans of TB anyway) but thoughts, comments?

Shayne and Jesse clearly had exposure on their agenda as many who go on reality shows do. Andrew Firestone must have had promotion for his vinyard on his mind. Some contestants have snagged hosting gigs on cable networks.

Shayne and Matt are living together in Shaynes condo in LA and definately a couple. Love happens in the process of living your life and often comes when you are not looking for it. Shayne was not expecting to fall in love but did. Same thing could be happening with Jesse.

I have no problem with using a reality show for personal gain, as long as the outcome of the show is not effected.

thanks that is what I am saying, its possible that he still fell for her.

I do think Brad wanted some exposure for himself that led to exposure for his bars. Even sweetheart Trista has still managed to keep in the limelight and might being doing a tv show.

Graham has something to promote,and many others. I don't see the promotional aspect being an issue, the GF thing is entirely separate.

Maybe since Deanna has been on the show before and understands that many other contestants have promoted different things and themselves she just knows how to go though the process and separate that from the feelings and does get to know them. Not letting it bother her. Do I make sense here?

Yes I agree, perhaps even D herself is interested in self promo so she gets it?

I also feel that many of the contestants do go there to meet deanna and see how it goes but they also have the other benefit of exposure that is there too. that way it is a Win-win in that if they are let go they still have something to go home with. Nothing wrong with that. As long as their promary intent was to get to know Deanna.

exactly and that is what has to be discerned by her even if they have promo opps, are they here for her and is there a chance for love? I hope so with Jesse time will tell

I thought he was so genuine when talking about what kind of dad he wants to be, If he's not there for the right reasons, then I don't know anything!!!From all the conversations she had, that one caught my attention, I like Jason, but he still didn't open up like Jesse...let's see their next one on one, but till now, even with his crazy hair, clothes, I think he's really into it!!did you guys watch that scene when he kissed his second impression rose??so cute!!!

Sounds right to me. Lots of people go on the show to push something -- usually themselves, but also things like the Firestone Vineyard, as you say. And being in advertising doesn't mean you can't fall in love.

One thing that makes me wonder a little about Jesse, though, is his quick answer when DeAnna asked him about moving. It seemed to me that saying "I can't be a snowboarder forever" was a little disingenuous, and most likely said to ensure that he got to stay. Yeah, he can't be a snowboarder forever, but how old is he now? 26? 25? He could be a snowboarder for quite a bit longer than that. Plus, I have a hard time seeing many ex-snowboarders completely leaving the mountains. Seems to me the fully truthful answer would have been more like -- Well, I will always want to have some connection to the Rockies -- a vacation cabin there or something -- but I'm open to making my own home someplace else because blah blah. I didn't really believe him when he basically said -- Oh, yeah, I don't care at all; it's time for me to drop snowboarding and move away from the mountains to be a stay-at-home dad. That was a long way from the whole story, seems to me, and too quickly said, as if it was mainly just a line to make sure DeAnna stayed on the string.

Other than that moment, though, Jesse seems okay to me.
