I'm saying that everyone's underestimating how big an issue dating a guy with a child is and an ex-wife that's very much a part of his life. It's hard enough when that's the only issue, but when you add everything else on top of that...

Did I miss another post where we heard that the mother is part of their lives? I thought the episode description implied that Jason was a single dad who was hoping Deanna could complete his family...

Assuming the mother didn't leave her family, she's a part of his life.

The Knot indicated he was of Jewish heritage. Now whether both his parents were jewish or if he had been raised jewish, it did not state.

I'm wondering if she is or not because I've read that she recently took a trip to France for 3 weeks.. Maybe she isn't a part of their lives but we will never know unless Jason says it on the show..

Just an awful lot of assumptions as to what will be problems and what will not - Every relationship has baggage so to speak - D also has baggage coming to this as well. She has said in the past that she was willing to move - wanted her guy to believe in something - didn't indicate that he had to be the same religion - wanted kids, etc.......... No indication that ex is in the picture at all - no info as to what/why divorced - so I can't put problems where there may not be any.

CANTSTOP - I agree - they may decide to go the IRL way - which is a good thing in ANY relationship - not just on the B'ette - but the right guy/gal is worth it in the long run. Things may not be that simple - but they can work out.

Lets not assume that there are problems/issues where there may not be any - at least not at this point.

There does not have to be an engagement at the end of this - but they could still move forward and have a wonderful future - we won't know for a while - Love can truly move mountains.
