After seeing this episode, I really wondered if Graham was having doubts and really didn't want to be there. He looked very awkward and uncomfortable when they were sitting together on the beach (not so much during the first part of the date though), so I'm thinking, maybe the intensity of their conversation was unnerving to him (a lot of guys get weirded out by intensity), especially with the cameras around.

Maybe the vibe that he didn't want to be there, was more that he didn't care for the situation he was in and wanted to escape it, and had nothing to do with whether or not he was interested in Deanna.

I think at the end where he was starring in the fire he seemed seriously nervous that she may not keep him..like when she started to speak and he was like ' No,don't..really don't' like he was worried she might send him home and he did not want her to start the rose thing and say it..JMO

I think that also explains why he didn't look at her when she was speaking then..because he wasn't sure he was staying and was uncertain as to what she'd say..
he even said later he didn't think he'd get a rose..

seems like a really humble guy..

ok, if i am understanding correctly what all of you are saying, Deanna and Graham had very strong feelings for one another when Graham left. So if this is the case, isn't this going to cast a whole lot of doubt on just how sincere her feelings for the F1 are? Like she had to pick someone, because the one she really wants left? I'm sorry, but if this is the case I would rather she pull a Brad and just not pick anyone. JMO

I have no idea how things will play out, but it seems that a lot of people got the sense that Graham wasn't interested in Deanna, and I'm just saying there could be other reasons for his behavior.

I think everyone was speculating that because the editing of his 1-1 date that maybe he just wasn't into it...but there has been alot of posts if you go back a few pages and look that conflict with that take on him...it seems maybe he was..

thanks! i try to get caught up on everything after work each day then realize the next day, when I think I have it all figured out, I am confused all over again! Sorry if I am just being slow here trying to figure this out.

Please remember that by the time the Hometowns happened, they had only been filming for 3 weeks. During this time, DeAnna had been group dating as well as single dating from 15 down to 4. That is a lot of different guys in a relatively short amount of time.
During this time, Graham may have developed some fairly deep feelings for her, and consequently she may have developed some considerable feelings for him.
We have been told that the hometown dates can last 12-15 hours. We have to take into account that she has been simultaneously building 3 other relationships besides the one with Graham.

At this point there is no evidence to show that while she was surely upset if Graham dropped out of the running, she was unable to engage herself in focusing on any of the other 3 to the point that she would just settle because she couldn't have Graham.

We simply have no evidence to support the conclusion that she settled on someone because she couldn't have Graham.

My contention is that it was still so early in the process and she was not so emotionally engaged at that point in Graham that she was unable to focus on spending the alloted time with the other 3 in the Fantasy Dates exploring what she had with each of them.

I wasn't getting on you! Honest!!! It's just that things around here ( and on every board) have a way of taking off and taking on a new life of their own. The evidence does appear that something out of the ordinary has probably happened with Graham. (The ordinary meaning that like any other contestant he simply makes it to F4 and then gets cut because it just isn't there, etc.)
We do know certain things, and we can reasonably speculate or surmise on some others. But I think we are going in the wrong direction if we try to pass by the evidence that we do have and draw a really huge ( and very possibly false) conclusion based on no evidence.

BTW, I am as big a sucker for reliable inside info as anybody else on this board. However, I want it to be correct when we do get it!
