Sad news to report about a fellow site member.

I am saddened by the news of SDL's passing. My condolences to Scott’s family and friends. He obviously had many friends on FORT and will be sorely missed by all of us. While I may not always share his opinion, I was drawn to his posts for his wit and humor which became a source of a entertainment for me. Not too long ago I sent him a little note telling him so and his last words to me have a message worth sharing . . .

I just heard the news. I'm shocked and saddened to hear of Scott's passing. May he rest in peace and know that we all miss him and will always. I've lost one of my 'friends' on FORT!

My prayers and condolences go out to his family and friends in real life outside of the FORT. So sad!

What a sadness has hit us! Scott's posts were probably the posts we all most looked for when we entered the "FORT". It was hard to argue against Scott's facts. He was like our "Wiki"...he had all the answers. Thoughts and prayers to his family.

I feel so incredibly sad to read about SDL. He was such a charismatic human being. May he be at peace now and my thoughts are with his loved ones also.

Of all the things I did not expect to read tonight, this is it. I'm just in shock. He was so vibrant, so friendly, just a pleasure to PM with. I hope his family reads this thread and sees how much he meant to us, individually and as a group.

It will be very sad not to have him here this season.

I'm going to go re-read all his pms and drink a toast to him.
