Melissa on the other hand, I think plays the victim card. When you're really over someone or a "horrific" situation, you really can just let go and most rational people can actually wish that person who hurt them, well. At least to the best of their ability. Have you studied rape/incest/abusive relationships? Those who have healed, don't re-hash the past at every opportunity, they move on and continue to heal.

Why couldn't she have said something like, "you know, i'm not close to jason and molly and will never be, but i'm in a great place in my life and I don't hold grudges anymore because I've moved on, we've all moved on." Now that's a mature person who's able to reflect outside of their "feelings".

Truthfully, she would not have the tv success she does now without being the rejected girl from his season. When you're self reflective, you get the big picture, every piece of the puzzle, and you're grateful for it.
Actually, I think Melissa has already done everything you posted that she should do at one time or another. Last night ABC's 20/20 was about Inside the Bachelor: The Stories Behind the Rose. I think it would be odd if she didn't tell her story since it was one of the two most shocking FRC/ATFR EVER, if not THE most shocking!

She said last night that she didn't think she would have gotten back together with Tye if that hadn't happened on the Bachelor and she has said she wouldn't be where she is today (career) either, so she doesn't have any regrets. She also said on Ellen the other day that she wishes Jason and Molly well. What more could she say?

It wasn't worth watching let alone taping. The big proof is just her word repeating what she has already said. Not so much as a copy of her cell phone calls showing a date/time when he called her.

Just another wannabe looking for their 15 minutes of fame. So she got a free trip to NY. Inside Edition should be ashamed of being so stupid.

It is already on Inside Edition's site.

I do give Melissa kudos for at least being honest last night, however it did struck me a quite selfish that she realized from the start she wasn't attracted to Jason and he isn't someone she would have dated in the real world, yet she stuck with it to "win". She admits she didn't even know 5 things about him at the stage that they go engaged. Why was she not asking him questions or getting to know him? Remember Molly had that list of questions for Jason in NZ, I thought that was cute. I think especially when there's a kid involved, going into the show the contestants have to tell themselves (unless they're completely naive) that they will have to "check" themselves throughout and not get absorbed by the situation. I remember Jill in an interview from Hawaii saying she had to try really hard to lock herself into a dark hotel room and think hard about which one she actually sees herself with in the real world, in 50 years from now, etc.
When I think back to when Jason broke up with Melissa, she made statements like "you never even tried to make it work, you didn't fight for Melissa, etc". Now this might have just been a defense mechanism, but clearly she didn't want to make it work either, she said herself she didn't even feel like calling him, had nothing in common or to say, etc.

Now on Jason's side, he's an idiot for not seeing plain a day that she wouldn't sincerely be interested in him in the real world, that their lives were way too different, that they had nothing in common, that she didn't bother to get to know him like Molly had. But hey, since when are guys great decision makers when it comes to picking between the hot cheerleader and "real" girl?I don't get all the MOlly bashing - don't really see what she did wrong in all of this.

    THat's my view of that.

Besides that, sad that I missed the segments on Jerry & Meredith.

So happy to see Reid happy! =) for the person who posted that they're disappointed because his girlfriend doesn't seem very bright, I don't really get that. To become Miss USA she can't really be that stupid...and if you follow her at all, she seems like a great, positive, beautiful person, and does SO much charity work (I know that's part of being miss USA, but still amazing)

Well she didn't think hard enough, she should have stayed in that dark room a little longer. We gals don't tend to be great decision makers either. We do like the guys too. We live and learn.

sdl, I wondered what you thought of Ali in her new duds? I'm glad she's listening to her wardrobe consultant. She told him "I don't really have a style. I'm kind of a tomboy". He said he told her "you may do that at home, but with me you're going to be hot, sexy and sophisticated." (it was something to that effect) I loved her dresses. She certainly cleans up well. Since you are a guy, I would like your opinion on how she will look.

Re: 20/20 The Bachelor - The Stories Behind the Rose

I have some thoughts about last night's show I'd like to share and get others opinions...

    1. I realized MF is a very ugly man if not down right creepy looking. MF was also not well spoken at all, which surprises me since he is such a multimillion dollar guy. As I was listening to him speak I came to the conclusion the guy is truly grease ball.

    2. I wonder if MF has other business ventures, in the pornography business. He seems to be really into the 'hot chicks, hot tubs, and tons of alcohol' as he mentioned numerous times in his interviews. I am now convinced that with MFs attitude, willingness to inform everyone how much sexual intercourse there is on the show, and actually sounded as if he thoroughly promotes it - that the series is nothing more than soft porn.

    3. I've decided that there was a huge multi part agenda for last nights 20/20 show, and the behind the scenes things we saw and heard in interviews. I believe the agenda was to a) promote the series as a whole to boost viewer numbers and/or ratings, b) to promote Ali's season, but most of all C) put to rest some of the rumors about 'production' that have come out from sources like RS.

I was surprised to hear MF discuss that they 'cast' for the show. Specifically MF saying they cast or pick individuals to be the cryers on the show, or they look for folks to be the 'emotional' character. MF also went on to say that they do deliberaly put on folks that are obviously there to boost their careers (such as Wes and Jesse), and that the 'cast' the obnoxious, the b***chy, the jealous, etc etc etc. I was even more suprised that MF said that only 50% of the 'cast' was there for the right reason.
This tells me that RS is more right on about production than I realized, but what I did NOT hear MF say was that anything was scripted. MF did say though that they DO try to provoke basically or instigate the fights, the emotions, the drama, etc.

    4. Bob G. is just the biggest pig on the planet and I wonder how many women that were on his show absolutely hate themselves for wanting to be with him or worse yet, how many women (at least 5.5 that we know now) that wished they hadnt 'been' with him in the biblical sense. Ick!!!

    5. Bob G. and MF probably hang out together, and go to nudie bars. They are both such ugly tools, they have nothing else but their 'fame' (if you will) and fortune (if Bob G. has any fortune) to get women in the first place.

    5. MF needs to let Melissa R. do a reality show of her own where he is the subject and give MF or lead MF through a life changing personality, spiritual, and physical make over.

    6. I thought Melissa did great last night. Loved the look on her face when she was interviewing Wes the tool. The look on her face screamed "You are a complete d... bag."

    7. I believe we have been given the truth now about the whole Melissa Jason thing from MF. I believe Melissa knew right after leaving NZ it wasnt going to work out with Jason, but still had some hope of working things out. She knew before the ATFR2 that they were going to publically break up on that show. I do believe Melissa, that she did not know that Jason was going to go into the whole Molly thing on the same show after just breaking up with her or announcing they were split, and then playing out the whole 'molly.. will you give me another chance please..." bit.

I believe it was MF's idea to air the break up on television, the AFTR2, BUT I believe it was indeed Jason that wanted to admit that he was in love with Molly and publically ask Molly for another chance on TV.

We live in the same city as Jason and Molly. We've heard through some friends, (yes, we all know how this hearsay goes...) that basically its been said that Molly was so humiliated and PO'd at Melissa being chosen as the F1, getting the royal treatment of being the F1, and all the fanfare goes along with being the F1 and that when Jason began contacting her (before he and Melissa personally broke up) and they agreed to start over and be together, Molly felt it wasnt fair, and demanded that jason make it up to her, as well as prove his intentions for her, and to do that it was decided that to make it right, Jason was to come out with everything on television, including 'asking her to give him another chance' so that they could then publically 'begin' their relationship and that she'd get all the perks or whatever of being the F1 that Molly felt she should have had or 'won' in the first place.

I'm happy that Jason and Molly are happy, and married now. I just wish that they maybe had chosen another route for Jason to 'make it up' to her or to 'prove' his intentions. Though, I cant blame Molly for being leery of Jason's wishy washy ways, and being hurt for all that he put her through.

and finally 8... the whole Mary and Byron dilema.. Personally, I think he looked like a crazed maniac in the interview, and he seemed to be really part of the problem between he and Mary. I remember reading all the tabloid stuf about their fight. To me, it wasnt a serious fight. Mary is all of what, 95 pounds maybe? He is what, 180?? Seriously, what guy calls up 911 to get 'medical help' and to find out 'why am i bleeding all over'?? He called up to tattle on her, to get her into trouble, whatever. She was probably really POd, lost her control, and struck him.

However, I'm just as sure Byron probably did something or said something to Mary or about Mary that was completely inappropriate or downright nasty to begin with, which is most likely what started the tiff to begin with. He didnt call 911 because he thought his life was in danger, or because he was scared. He said in the interview that he called 911 to find out why he 'was bleeding all over the place' and to get 'medical care.'

If he truly wanted to find out why he was bleeding, or get medical care, he could have driven himself to a local emergency room which leads me to believe he was just as drunk and just as much of a problem as she was.
What a tool! Furthermore... Mary looked half crazed when she was confessing her ongoing undying love for this tool.

They both need to run seperate ways, get some serious counseling, and never speak again. Personally, I thought he was a super tool when he put off their wedding the 1st time around after they'd been together about a year and if I were Mary I would have boogied then. But hey, thats just me.

And this, is all just my opinion.

I know people whose face seems to get tight when they are stressed out. She looked very pretty ... same for Merri.
I agree -- Mary looked better on the show last night than when she was on the show 4 years ago. I think it's because her hair is now longer and darker, and she was wearing it in a more "sleek" style than when she was on the show. She was also wearing different eye makeup -- eyeliner on the bottom, which I don't remember her wearing before, either.

She is obviously still in love with Byron. However, as earnest as she was when she declared she was "only drinking water," I find it hard to believe that she was arrested for being disorderly in a bar. I've seen people lit 3 sheets to the wind, acting insanely crazy and drunk in a bar, and no one pays much attention until or unless it gets extremely out of control. Cops are usually called in as a last resort. Either she's not telling the truth about her drinking, or she's a wildcat even when sober. The story didn't add up.

Other than Mary and Estella, I thought the majority of the past Bachelorettes who were interviewed on the show last night looked MUCH older. I was quite surprised at how much a few of them have aged -- some of them were barely recognizeable to me they have changed so much. I think it's the different hair colors and styles that have aged most of them. Not quite sure -- can't quite put my finger on it.
