If she didn't have time to finish this season due to work, how is she going to make it through a whole second season?!?!? Unbelievable. She is a phony. Bleh. Wont be watching.
I don't think that Ali would make the best candidate for the bachelorette, but she will bring in ratings because of the dramatic exit she made.
Whatever the case may have been, whether she did actually choose her job over Jake at the end, I don't see the real direct comparison to being a contestant on the bachelor and being the bachelorette. She would have risked or lost her job on a complete uncertainty versus being the one that gets to choose at the end. Two very different scenarios. If you are the one to make the choice versus one that may be chosen at the end, then you have a lot more control over the direction your life will take after the fact. Like I said, I don't know about her as the bachelorette, but I do think that the comparisons between losing her job by simply hoping that she will be picked in the end versus giving up her job (possibly) in order to choose a mate at the end are really all that fair and hope that people don't focus so much on this.

I actually think that she made some good points, and really think that she may have been the most naive girl about the whole process that the show has ever had. I think that the whirlwind romance didn't catch her, and she honestly did not understand the time limitations to the show. She was realistic. Really - in the real world, who is running up, hugging, carrying, making out with and spending an evening with a woman with whom he's "just not that into" the day, or just a few days prior to, his engagement to another woman. She was thinking normal. She was feeling normal. She just didn't realize what she was stepping into. There is no doubt in my mind that she was offered the bachelorette and turned it down when she finally realized the process at the end. And the questions she was asking at the ATFR ceremony - well, if given the direct opportunity to try to have those questions answered, who honestly wouldn't ask?
Let's just hope that she will eventually realize that she kinda dodged a bullet here.
Re: 3/1 Finale Show Discussion *Spoilers*
There was something kind of painful about watching this final episode. It was very obvious that he would pick Vienna over Tenley yet he had to pretend like he didn't know what he was going to do. Tenley is like a younger sister-type. She is a nice girl. She could win Miss Congeniality but she isn't going to be the pageant queen. It almost seemed like Jake was frustrated that he had to keep leading Tenley on like that. It felt awkward that Tenley just didn't get it. Jake never really wanted to say what it was because he didn't want to be mean. I think she was probing him to hear something that she wanted to hear but what she wanted to hear was not the truth. I don't understand how Jake could claim that he was in love with Tenley if he also claims there was no spark between them. No wonder she was confused. But I think she should read between the lines (he wasn't really in love with her).
I'm glad we will see Vienna again as she watches Jake on DWTS. He won't last long though.
Also, Jake is really in love with Vienna. He gets this angry face whenever someone says something bad about her. I've noticed this in interviews. I am glad he went out and got what he was looking for.

This is the one thing I hate about this show but the format of the show requires that sort of awkward moment. These girls know that in the end he will choose just one girl if, indeed, it will come to that. What surprises me though is knowing her profession, she is supposed to be in tune with certain 'language' or 'behavior'. How much clearer does Jake have to be _ he says that 'something is missing' and later in the ATFR he put that into very clear language _ the 'magic' is not just there. I am now in my late 50s and I have come to understand that sometimes those lovely feelings do exist but still would not be enough. I had dated men that I had truly fallen in love with but when the subject of 'marriage' or 'togetherness' came up ... I got very confused because I couldn't go with the expected outcome. It hurts not just the person but me as well because it felt like a 'fraud' .... I can relate to Jake's experience. I guess that's why some have rationalized it as "all is fair in love and war'. You can ask, is it fair to have his heart broken (rejecting Vienna) because his admission may have him breaking Tenley's heart? The same can be said about the Melissa-Molly situation. Is it fair to continue with the facade to avoid breaking Melissa's heart and subsequently lose his chance with Molly? Would you do that ultimate sacrifice? I guess, I have learned that while martyrdom sounds grand ... this life is too short to spend it feeling lonely and having regrets or pining for what might have been.

Jake on DWTS? With Pamela Anderson, Chad Ochostinko, and Buzz Aldrin? Well, at least he'll learn how to dance, as currently he's a crappy dancer.
Re: 3/1 Finale Show Discussion *Spoilers*
I find this soooo ironic! Tenley is the Dancer and Jake is going on Dancing With The Stars?!" WTF! :shrug Also, he did exactly the same thing to Tenley that Gillian did to him, "You're too perfect"... FrUsTrAtInG!! :wallbang
Re: 3/1 Finale Show Discussion *Spoilers*
I still like Jake, I think it was clear that Vienna was going to be his in the end from early on. Kind of the same way Trista knew it was going to be Ryan. I felt so nervous for Vienna when she was flying in as she was so visibly shaken.
I liked Ali and was pulling for her, however, last night she was way too made up. I went to bed shortly after she sat down so I don't understand the 50 guys comment.
When does Alli's season start to air?
Re: 3/1 Finale Show Discussion *Spoilers*
First off Jake is a tool plain and simple. He has absolutely no charisma at all, and he and Vienna deserve each other. It is purely a sexual chemistry I see nothing more. Vienna has nothing going for her, and Jake will dispose of her as soon as the sexual attraction is done, and a new one comes along.
As for Jake on DWTS, Tenly would have been a better choice. It is going to be a race to see who leaves first Jake or Kate :confused.
Re: 3/1 Finale Show Discussion *Spoilers*
My heart broke for Tenley, as I feel she really had her heart and soul in this process. As Jake told her, the magic just wasn't there. I hope she finds someone who will return that special magic to her..that she so deserves. :)

that's a huge peeve of mine - Jake says it too. And I hate how he says TINley and not Tenley.
That was the most boring 3 hrs of tv I've ever watched.
Love Jake's mom.
