Yes true but I think it put Ella at a disadvantage. Picnicking with your son is not a great time to flirt with a man.... So it came across as if the two had zero chemistry together.Quote:

Could be why her son was included. Jake knows he has nothing but friendship feelings for her so the little boy was a buffer of sorts to prevent any kissing/touching.Quote:

The son was brought in because that is what they do. It was a production decision based on the single mother storyline they used last year. Jason and his son are the ones who got the ball rolling with children during Deanna's season and they have included single parents since then. Now we will probably see a single parent (or three as in this season) in every show. Yes, I know...no single dads in Jillian's show, but that doesn't mean that now the door has been opened there won't be in future Bach'ette shows. The kids are cute and a draw and, like the first impression rose holders, the mothers (or fathers) don't advance to the end - so far anyway.
Cute little Ty was an AHA! moment for Fleiss and Martin.
ETA: Okay the first single mother on one of the shows was during Charlie's season. Kara's daughter was about eight or nine and didn't appear in an episode but was in the audience during the WTA so the audience got a chance to meet her.
Yeah it probably did work. To bad they didn't show it. I'm glad I saw it. :) It made me like Tenley. :) But what they did show of her I'm not sure if she is really over the pain from the past. :(Quote:
