IF RS is correct .... we have eliminated the ultimatum from Ali's exit, which should make us look at it differently. If we cannot blame Vienna for the exit, we may never know. I am sure it is very emotional - he has even met her family.

Re: Bachelor 14 - Media **Spoilers**

So, with RS spoiling everything that happens throughout the entire season including F1, everyone from newsmags spoiling to X17 saying a production crewmember told them Vienna is who Jake chooses as F1. Why is everyone still watching? There's still half a season left but......... Even those who don't go to spoiler sites or who don't go online should know already if not fairly soon. It's too widespread in mainstream media online and offline. Especially, with further hype over Vienna's pics. So, watching for suspense of winner or even order of F5 is out. It was out for online sleuthers after the 2nd episode. So, no true sleuthing potential besides runnig around in circles for no reason. Watching for the love story? Well majority don't want Vienna with Jake so that would be out. I'm in that category. So, my only reason to watch is to see Jake's remaining time with the girls I like 'til I know they are getting ready to leave. But, since there is no real surprise to that, the surrounding drama makes it sometimes intolerable to even try to do that. Even those who like Vienna, like Vienna with Jake, or are interested in romance with Jake in the winner no matter who it is, season still a bust for them. TPTB are definitely on the TRISH train of edits with Vienna and heading even further south for the rest of the season. So, it's the 'if TRISH had made it to the end' edit with Vienna and that's the best 'love story' fans of Vienna & Jake as a couple are going to get. So, all that's left is watching for train wreck potential and frankly VH1 does it so much better, IMHO! They have better storylines, better casting, trainwreck with more fun, and cable tv latitude to do it oh so much better. So, this doesn't meet good trainwreck potential for me i' drather watch VH1. What about you guys?

Chris' tweet about Monday night's show:

Watched mondays Bachelor last night. Wow things are gettin' serious up in here!
Roberto: "Ali wakes me up in the middle of the night to tell me she's dreaming about puppies... The smile on her face was priceless."

A finalist on national television Williamstown native shines in ‘The Bachelor’

WILLIAMSTOWN -- A hometown woman is one of five still in the running for the heart of "The Bachelor."

Ali Fedotowsky, 25, who now lives in San Francisco, has avoided elimination through four episodes of the ABC television show, "The Bachelor," and now is among a select group of women waiting to know which one of them will win over Texas airline pilot Jake Pavelka.

"It’s fun to see a familiar face representing Williamstown on a national television show," said Becky Gold, who knows Fedotowsky through mutual friends.

She said Fedotowsky is the most down-to-earth and intelligent woman on the show, and she is doing a great job representing Williamstown.

"Everybody is proud of her," she said.

Fedotowsky was one of 25 women from across the country chosen to be on the 14th season of "The Bachelor."

Gold said she and friends meet at the Water Street Grill on Monday nights to watch the show.

"It’s exciting to see her on the show," she said.

Gold had the opportunity to escort members of the show’s film crew around Williamstown when they came to tape for one of the episodes, and several community members got to watch some of the scenes being filmed.

"It was exciting when they filmed in town," Williamstown resident Kim Burnham said.

Fedotowsky’s being on the show is great notoriety for the area, especially every time "Williamstown" flashes under her name on television, she said.

"We’re all anxious for her to keep going and see who makes it," she said. "I hope she is the one."

Burnham said she normally wouldn’t watch "The Bachelor," but when she learned a Williamstown native would be on the show, she just couldn’t pass up the opportunity.

"It’s very exciting as a resident of Williamstown," she said.

Kathy Thompson and her family have spent their Monday nights for the past month watching "The Bachelor" and cheering on their former neighbor.

"We’re all excited, since we knew her as a young girl, and to see her grow up into a young woman is exciting," Thompson said.

Fedotowsky and her family lived across the street from them for about a year, and she was always a sweet woman, Thompson said.

"We definitely feel excited she is way up there, and we hope she continues," she said.

Fedotowsky graduated from Mount Greylock Regional High School in 2002 and Clark University in Worcester in 2006 with a bachelor’s degree in psychology.

Her mother and older sister still live in the area.

Thompson, as well as Burnham, said the yellow dresses and outfits Fedotowsky wears on the show are appealing.

"Yellow is definitely her color," Thompson said.

She actually took a very long time to come up with a word to describe Ali, and when she did all she could come up with was 'cute'. Well of course she is cute, if you take her personality (or the one they are showing us) out of the equation. JMO She also said "misunderstood" for Vienna and immediately followed that up with "I liked her". Elizabeth said the same thing in the pool during the very first Vienna bashing on screen.

Sometimes we get snippets from interviews that don't mesh with the edit. That's my point for this post.

eta: the audio is available at tv grapevine at the bottom of the Ella interview. Its 30 minutes though.
    Thanks for sharing this MsDLL,

I started to listen to the interview and then realized how long it was and bailed and I'm way behind on reading the threads here. It seems to me that there's more than enough evidence that we can't rely on the edit to form a judgement on anyone.

Personally, I think that the producers actually look for some that have questionable pasts (Vienna and Gia) in order to exploit them if things get too boring...kind of like a back-up plan.

I'm sure you're right - no doubt about it.

I have only watched last week's episode this season, so I don't have much of an opinion on anything (except that Jake is awkward), but I definitely agree with all those who say that he seems so sad in all interviews post show. If he was happy with someone, we would see it in his eyes!

The new preview only has scenes of him kissing Gia, and poor little Vienna attempting to interrupt his alone time with her by running off in search of him, where is he anywhere near Vienna?
