Maybe HE was sexually attracted to her but knew she wouldn't sleep with him so that frustrated him despite his "I respect you for that comment" and that did her in.

I was thinking much the same, that he was trying to let her know in advance, to let her down somewhat easier and also to assure her there was nothing wrong with her, but more that the heat was coming too slowly for him.

One thing though is that she asked him for clarification later in the evening ... but she remained extremely confident that she was the chosen. He somehow led her on that evening to believe that the physical thing was NOT a priority with him. Also, remember we have a girl who thinks very highly of Jake at this point.

Although some of the things that have been tried and true for the edit have been going by the wayside in the last few seasons, a couple of things I noticed are still hanging in there as true. (Could be shot down next season!)

First, if you hear someone talking, or worse harping on "perfect", that is generally a clue that one isn't going to be F1. The only time I have seen the opposite was with Sara Stone and Dr. Travis. We found out later that was a pre-arranged ending between friends to let him get back to the ER at Vanderbilt and finish his residency. Other than that season "perfect" is usually a sign that is not the one. Jake described Tenley as "perfect" more than once.

Second, if a contender is too confident, he/she is generally not the F1. Notice that for all of her brashness, Vienna was NOT the one shown with the confidence - she said to Jake's sisters she wasn't confident, and we heard her tell us in VOs how brokenhearted she would be if Jake didn't select her.
On the other hand, the whole time that Tenley was walking up to Jake, we heard her confidently telling us how she thought it was going to be the beginning for Jake and her.

Vienna was very confident - she even told the sisters that Jake didn't love Tenley - there were so many non-F1 moments with Vienna and Ed that it puts into doubt all the editing tricks we've learned from the past. There wasn't one person who came out of this season with a F1 edit.

He said he wasn't physically/sexually attracted to her. He was just trying to let her down easy. Tenley is a cute girl but she never did anything that was sexy or even womanly. I cannot blame him for that.

The one cofident/non-confident moment that held up for the editing ( and it too may fall next season for all that I know) was the FRC. We "heard" Tenley very confident as she walked up to meet Jake. On the other hand, during the whole time leading up to the FRC itself we heard a nervous, anxious Vienna. The edited Vienna was not boasting or sure of herself as she approached the FRC or Jake.

Hmmmm. I remember "hearing" her as she walked up, and I believe that Chris Harrison somewhat validated that with a comment ... I think at the ATFR. What I do not recall is if the VO we heard said she was absolutely sure Jake would choose her TODAY ... do you recall ? Maybe it was an old VO. :)

Vienna was always confident, right from the start. At first I thought it was funny when she was telling the other girls they were going home ... and here she was right.

If the Vienna truly confident, she wouldn't have been so eager to talk to Jake about problems in the house, might have run with a smile on her face towards Jake during the FRC and would not have responded as she did when Jake returned her father's ring.

Although I do believe Vienna confident in her feelings for Jake, not so much that she would be the F1.

In contrast, at the FRC (and, with all honesty, I didn't watch earlier RCs as intently as other seasons), Tenley appeared far more confident, than did Vienna, of being the last girl standing.

At what point did Vienna tell other girls they were going home? Which girls?
