Hi, eowenc. Nice to be posting with you again. I hope Jake does give Fleiss a "run" for his money. We need some new dialogue. And, yes, many of us do like the "lead" before the show starts,especially if we've already been exposed to the person. Once the show starts, unfortunately it all goes downhill. Witness the controversies about Jill and Ed. It goes on and on and on ad nauseum on the BB. It's enough to wonder why these posters don't have a life.

I comprehend it well, and I think a lot of women would fall for Jake. A lot of people I know who never read online forums think he is GREAT. It will be interesting to see what "types" on the show are attracted to Jake, but you can bet there will be all kinds attracted to him. There's someone for everyone.

Then we agree! I know there are many women who find Jake attractive and that's easy to understand. When you say 'types' is where I guess I don't understand. First, I can't see Jake with anyone other than a blond. Is that a type? No that's just a physical description. We also don't know as much about Jake as we thought we did. Before his latest interviews he seemed to me to be a different guy than those which are more recent. I find the Jake I'm seeing now is one I really like. But he was edited in the last Bachelorette differently. Believe me I'm very open minded about types of ladies and Jake also. His statement that the show we will see won't necessarily be what he's there for. That was refreshing to hear from any lead. I think he gets it better than those before him and will make the most of the opportunity. I would be more correct about my thoughts if I stated I don't comprehend the kind of lady that will fall for Jake that he will fall for also. It's going to be interesting and I'm just a little anxious. It will be fun! Agreed?

FWIW, Jake has recently stated that his 'type' is 5'5", blonde, blue or green eyes, and similar to him in appearance (I guess that means clean cut, all-American?). Granted, that's only a physical type and doesn't speak to likes/dislikes/disposition, etc. at all. But I guess it's a start.

I have tried to skim through and pick up on all the gems that you have uncovered so far - excellent! it is starting to gel...
But seems a little boring since it is all about California and I really got spoiled by Jillian's season and the amazing locales week after week..

MY QUESTION IS: Do we know any of the cast members so far?? (sorry if this list is somewhere I have not yet discovered)

I'm one of the posters who doesn't like Jake and it has NOTHING to do with my favorite not being chosen. I would have been perfectly fine and looking forward to a season of Kip or Jesse, or even Mark that didn't get enough airtime. I dislike Jake because he came off as a total phony in Jillian's season. From the first night falling all over her (mind you she's not even physically his type), ready to marry her after one date, always being "perfect" when the cameras were rolling, going along with the whole Wes had a gf fiasco, which Wes didn't in the end, the exaggerated crying over the railing just to get a chance to be the next bachelor. I'm not even going to comment on his opinion of Ed and his treatment of women.

The casual fans do not take the amount of time some of us do to study each of the characters ( pitiful, I know ), that's why if you don't know about all of the shenanigans that go on behind the scenes, you'll believe everything you see on the screen, that includes Jake being Mr Nice guy and coming back to "protect" Jillian from Wes. We all here know that was all scripted and not the real reason he came back, but to those fans he's a "hero."

About his statements, he knows exactly what his critics think about him. He's trying to persuade some of us into believing otherwise. He's a very smart man, I'll give him that. JMO

I am pretty sure Jake is not the only one this applies to. Just about every season whe have someone that falls right away. For Jason's season it was Mel so overly jealous after the first date. TPTB show us what/who they want us to see. I am sure it applies to our favorites too. I would bet then even some of our favorites carried out some script also. Every season we have the one that falls to fast, the trouble maker, the one that isn't there to make friends. Noelle said herself she isn't the shy quiet girl they showed her as being.

Let's remember the scripting, editing, excuses work both ways not just for/against are favorites/not liked ones.
