Even if she is in a segment where bathing clothes or hot wear clothes are supposed to be what she wears, she looks horrible in that picture. The outfit is horrible, her nails are awful, and she is mugging for the camera again. It is so obvious this girl was a plant, got what she wanted all the while giving the show the ratings they wanted, now if I never see her again it will be too soon.

I am so happy for Molly and Jason. I was never a fan of either of theirs, but they obviously got the short end of the let me make you famous if you play a role that Melissa got story. I am so happy to see that their love is taking them through the bad stuff and hopefully on to the good stuff.

The ring is just part of the compensation for being on the show. These people have walked away from their jobs and in some cases had to resign in order to be on the show. They are entitled to at least "union scale" although it is rumored they make a lot more.

The fact that the value of the rings is a bit "over the top" sometimes stems from the publicity sought by the jewelers. The mark-up on jewelry is astronomical. A $60K ring on the retail market is worth probably less than a third of that. Been in the business, done that.

Most of the rings have been returned. Only Trista and Mary have theirs. There is some evidence Shayne may have returned hers, too.

Sarah Stone also kept her ring, she did end up selling it, but she didnt' return it to ABC. I believe this is what precipitated ABC holding the rings until after the AFRC taping.

I'm no photog, but it sure seems to me there's some strange sort of distortion in the close-up of Mel's ring. Her manicure looks fine in all the other pics.

Jason and Molly have a feature in the new People (Andre Agassi on the cover) and the cover story of the new US. I didn't have a lot of time to read both but I think they gave interviews to both mags. In 1 of them (probably US) Jason says the producers told him the only way he would be allowed to talk to Molly in that time frame was on TV which is why he says he did the breakup/switcheroo there. Also in 1 of them I think Jason says he and Melissa were broken up around Christmas. The mags have a rundown of how the proposal happened and how Jason surprised Molly, plus pictures. I remember one sweet comment Jason made about he hadn't realized how much sleep Molly was giving up to maintain phone contact with him because she was used to going to bed at 9 PM. She's got a new job as a buyer for an online shoe outlet which is what she'll do now that she's moved out to Seattle.

One part that made me cringe is in US where they were asked if they would get married on TV and Molly laughingly said something like never say never. Hoping that was just a joke. But as far as the wedding itself Molly said she isn't somebody who has it all planned out but she has some ideas about the dress. Jason doesn't want a really stiff formal event, he wants guests to think it was fun and "bada**". In the end they say it's most important to celebrate it with loved ones. One of the mags (People?) asked Jason how after proposing to all these women he really knows Molly is the one. He has a long answer to that and I don't want to report it without remembering it perfectly.

Jason and Molly emphasized how this has all worked out for the best for everybody.

I definitely prefer Molly's ring. Melissa's is super GAUDY! not ugly, just a little too guady for my taste.

Also, Molly's ring possibly more expensive. I remember wanting a cushion cut ring and boy was it expensive!!! The difference was about 5k from the round cut. Quality plays a factor too.

OMG I can't believe there is a comparison of rings.

I know that when I got married, a lot of women had "nicer" rings... but I wouldn't have traded mine for the world. And for all we know, Melissa's ring could have belonged to Tye's beloved grandmother.

If I were given that ring and ABC had to take it back, it would have been an ugly throw down. I don't know how I feel about having to return it or not when the relationship breaks up.

It's too bad the girls can't keep their rings before the FRC. There should be some way they could have it in a safe deposit box so they could at least look at it.

Jason still has a few months before his contract is up. We'll be getting drips and drabs of what happened until then. I have harder feeling about Melissa than he does.
What I think will be interesting is if she ever says what happened.

Maybe it is best - for everyone involved - to put all of it behind them - leave it all alone - in a box - locked up - key pitched away - deep sixed - instead of bringing it all up and possibly causing more hurt and pain - for any of them The good - the bad - and the ugly - whew - it could really engulf someone's life - maybe walking away from it all - sooo much pain in the past - and really work towards a happy future
