Maybe they'll have Ty give out the roses and he can pick out his new mommy this way Jason's image won't be tarnished.

I just don't want to hear from Chris and Jason, week after week, how his heart has been twice broken. I really hope he doesn't tell the women that he knows what they are going through every five minutes. It would be so much better for him if he would find love in the real world.
I can't see Jason bringing up what happened with DeAnna, and how she broke his heart and blah blah blah like DeAnna did of Brad. That got past old in the first episode. I hope that TPTB learned from B4 that most of the viewers were annoyed of all that Brad talk.

I totally agree with you on this. I found it so annoying and
will probably turn off the TV if Jason starts in on it like
DeAnna did
But I think...hope...that Jason is too much the gentleman
to act that way.

I agree that he is a complete gentleman. I also won't be surprised if some variation of, "Now, I realize how difficult this was for DeAnna" comes up.

imo, It is a foregone conclusion that the producers and the edit will make sure that the viewer sees Jason repeatedly bringing this up.

I just don't think that Jason can possibly escape this show looking nearly so perfect and sympathetic, but that's jmo. Also, we know that we will see him breaking girls' hearts, surely we can all agree on that. Dee did her job and got engaged to someone with whom she's still living and she's been lambasted, so I fail to see what Jason can do that will allow him to look sympathetic.
Bottom line with me is that Jason was in a position where he could meet tons of elligible women, but chose the fame ho route of going back to break hearts in the same cruel process that supposedly hurt him so much. Why would he choose to do this to women looking for love if he thought it was SO awful? Again, WHY is Jason doing this? It's pretty hard for him to make the case that he's not meeting enough women. You say not the "right" women? Well we know Fleiss will provide him with only women there for the "right" reasons from which to choose and the procedure will be done very sensitively.

I don't agree that Jason can be such a sensitive soul and choose to put his son through another separation and the candidates through this admittedly brutal experience, but that's jmo. I would be prepared to be VERY disalusioned if I were a Jason lover. However, I am also prepared to watch. Is the air date in January?

Yes, the air date is in January 2009.
Nodding my head to your words above.

I love the show for the snarkfest it provides. Hoping for Fleiss and Co. to handle the Jason and Ty show with "good taste" is oxymoronic(if that's a word).
The show touts itself as providing the most dramatic _______ever
This is the same show that shoved "Sadie the virgin" down our throats. (sorry for that graphic imagine and I loved Sadie btw) This is the same show that had Trish come back solely for drama effect on Jesse Palmer's FD. This is the same show that tempted the viewers with "who will be Mrs Brad Womack?" knowing there would not even be a final selection.
In order to survive, the show needs ratings and to get ratings it survives on bait to reel in its audience--the sensationalism. Counting on a successful romance is roulette at best.

As usual Kasha. . .your wisdom speaks loudly! ITA with your sentiments. It is going to be a bit painful to watch sweet Jason and his little one Ty succomb to the tawdry-ness and ratings smut.

I hope somehow he can buffer Ty from it. . . but I sorta don't see that happening.

Hey crew! I am so happy for Jason! Hopefully it will all work out for him [and Ty ] I can't believe we have to wait until January 2009 though. That seems too far away!

Re: Bachelor 13 **SPOILERS**

Helllo everyone. This is my first post. I am intimately familiar with the show. I am also a good friend of Jason's and will be here to support him in his decision to go on the show. Everyone who goes on the show is aware of the potential positive impact it will have on them socially. I don't think many of us realize the negative impact in that it is really hard to date when you leave the show. Some people that you would love to meet shy away from you because of the publicity and lots that just want to get noticed will rush up to talk to you. I'm not making excuses, but I do understand Jason's decision to go on the show. Anyway, looking forward to the season.

Re: Bachelor 13 **SPOILERS**

I don't think Jason had a chance to find out if it was hard to date post show or not. It was only about a month or so after the airing of the show ended that he signed up to be the next Bachelor. I can only assume from this that his experience on the show was not so bad after all. Hey it's fine with me that he chose to appear on this circus of a show again, but he should be aware that he won't come out looking like quite so sympathetically when he's doing the rejecting.
Welcome PunkyBachelor
