After listening to the Realitysteve interview with Jeremy last week (great interview by the way)..... I thought Steve's suggestion of doing the show with both guys was a good one. Only instead of letting girls choose to go forward with one guy only as in Byron's season; they each proceed with the girls that are attracted to them. So, double the bachleor maybe even double dating of the groups....

If they started with 30 B'ette's and if they already knew/suspected/stacked the deck with about 10 knowns who preferred Jason, 10 preferred Jeremy with another 10 unknowns... they could start the first night off with girls picking and then the Bachelor's evening the score so they each are down to 15 or 12.
It might be an interesting twist. I wouldn't mind it at all if they each whizzed through the girls in a short period so that each Bachelor could spend a lot more time getting to know the final 4.

I agree. Please, a fresh face and no single parents. It would be refreshing for the Bachelor to admit he would like a career in the media if this is true. Why not? Reality TV attracts those who want to be infront of a camera; that is unavoidable. Just put it out there. Have them ALL aspiring actors, I don't care, I just want someone new.

The problem with this is that this is what they really want: a career in the media - not a relationship. Therefore, we end up feeling like we, the viewing audience who tuned in to watch a romance, have been played.

The purpose of this show is not to launch somebody's career; there are already shows with that purpose. If that is what they want, let them go on one of those shows. Supposedly, this show's purpose is to let us see the person attempt to find someone with whom to begin a relationship in life.
Because neither Jeremy nor Jason appear to be interested in a media career and both do appear interested in a relationship, people are interested in them.

Personally, I hate to see either one of them become the Bachelor simply because I hate to see the hatchet editing job that Fleiss will probably do on the one who is the Bachelor. I liked what I saw in both of them. I thought they were both sincere and possessed good qualities.

If the next Bachelor is going to end up looking like Jesse Palmer or Blob, I would just as soon that they get someone I'd never seen before.

Realistically, even with Jeremy and Jason and especially with all of the rest of them, I could never figure out and frankly didn't believe that a guy with that much going for him couldn't find a worthwhile woman and most likely one with mega things going for her at that. Anyone with one eye and half good sense could figure that out.
That said, if a person is going to star as the Bachelor on this show purporting to be looking for a romantic relationship that has a decent chance at succeeding , he should at least be ready to entertain the idea beyond the mandatory lip service given. ( cough, cough Jesse Palmer)

I really don't think that is too much to ask of somebody who is in the starring role. I think the viewing public expects that much, and if it is necessary to bring in a retread who is proven to be sincere in order to fill the bill, then perhaps that will be what happens.

Disclaimer: Since the "to the altar" success rate on this show is less than 7%, I don't buy all that seriously into the romances that I see; however, on the other hand, I don't relish the idea of being played by the TPTB with a Bachelor that really just wants a media career or a business enhancement opportunity either.
If that puts me in the crowd of tough customers, I'll sit on the front row!

Byron got his Mary, however dysfunctional that relationship may be - they are together. I think both Jeremy and Jason would bring some integrity to this show.

I am surprised that so many Forter's would like someone new, while the ABC poll clearly shows only 11 percent interested in someone unknown to be next Bachelor. We must not represent a cross section of the population or that poll is rigged
