I will gladly accept this rose SweetElvira!!

Don't get me wrong, it would be nice to have a Trista/Ryan situation every time, but let's be honest... not all men are like Ryan, willing to be led into anything.

Re: Bachelor 12 Media Thread

Because I have some strange crush on the hotness that is Chris Harrison I caught part of his Hollywood 411 show this morning. For those that aren't familiar, it's a daily show where they dish on everything Hollywood. Every Wednesay they have a magazine round up where they recap through all of the cover stories on OK, In Touch, US, People, Star, etc. A lot of times he is joined by an In Touch editor, Kim Serafin. Anyway....last night they of course hit on the Matt and Shayne story that was released in In Touch yesterday. The editor pretty much told the same story, and Chris H had the following comments:

* He called Matt yesterday morning when he heard about the In Touch story. Matt said that there was no truth to what the insider said, but again verified that he is living in his own place
* Matt told Chris that he and Shayne were actually doing really well. And their relationship has gone through struggles but they are really happy together.

There may have been more, but the general feeling I got from that hottie Chris is that in his opinion Shayne and Matt are still together and In Touch got it wrong. Oh by the way, the cover story was once again about Brad and Angelina and how he walked out on her or something. Whoever referenced that mad me laugh when I heard Chris and the editor talking about it

Re: Bachelor 12 Media Thread

Thanks CF, for the info just like I said in one of my above post I have read many articles in IN Touch that haven't come to pass......Like Tom/Katie split, Brad/Angelina split etc, now I know that Matt/Shayne are not on the same scale as them nor am I trying to place them there it's just that they are not always correct, but if they are so what? How many bachelor couple has actual made it to the altar? I enjoyed myself immensely watching Matt/Shayne that is all I can ask for......

Bachelor Matt Grant Moves Out From Fiancée’s Pad - PEOPLE TV Watch

Matt Grant has moved out of fiancée Shayne Lamas’s condominium, but the English Bachelor insists that all is well with the two.

The couple have cohabitated at Lamas’s Century City, Calif., place since the Bachelor season ended with Grant presenting Lamas with the rose and an engagement ring. But Grant moved out because he says the two need space to grow.

“I had to get my own life out here (in L.A.),” says Grant. “Get my career and friends and have my own circle. That’s important in a relationship. That you are not entirely on top of someone.”

The couple has been dogged by rumors of discord since their televised engagement, however, Grant says that they are doing well and that living together was always meant to be “a stop-gap.”

“Early on in the relationship, people need a little space,” says Grant. “It’s almost to keep the spark — the romance — that exists in the first year of a relationship. Living together after knowing one another after four months is probably a little bit quick. Certainly for our generation.”

Grant does concede it has been “a difficult time” but insists that most of the pressure has come from external forces. He says the two are still engaged despite having moved into his own condo in the Valley. And he insists that he’s had no second thoughts about choosing Lamas: “I made the right decision.”

When asked if the two are in love, Grant responds: “Definitely. I wouldn’t be engaged if I wasn’t.” –Bryan Alexander

Poor Matt, I wonder how he'll get his green card now!
Forget about the green card! He now needs to focus on how to get the green, as in dough from ABC for the "Most Romantic Wedding" ever televised. CH will need some new soundbites for damage control purposes. Chris, I am available!!!

Better late than completely missing out on the first sign of the "Most Anticipated Train Wreck ever in Bachelor History."

To translate, Matt is conveying that the two living together at Shayne's small condominium was never considered other than a temporary situation while securing his own place.

I have never seen stopgap used in this context, but Matt is British and it makes sense --- in fact, it is the perfect word as it precisely defines without fumbling around.

Stopgap means makeshift, a temporary expedient.

It's so funny, when Matt moved in with Shayne people were calling him everything under the sun: leach, deadbeat, users etc.....Now that he has gotten his own place, it's splitsville for them....Oh well

Century City? I thought it was Studio City, slightly lower rent district. I'm not even going to touch that other line.
