Jason, I can't imagine that anyone would see you in any other role than friend. You have made that clear and I can read between the lines that your motivation is your belief that Brad is a good person. He should feel lucky to have a friend like you.

Unfortunately, Brad is his edit for now.

Butterflies in the stomach is a medical condition characterized by the physical sensation of a "fluttery" or "tickling" (hence butterflies) feeling in the stomach. Some believe that this is caused by the release of epinephrine, or adrenaline, when one is nervous, pulling blood away from the stomach and sending it to the muscles. This in turn causes the stomach to temporarily shut down, possibly the reason for loss of appetite when one is "love sick". Butterflies in the stomach is most often experienced prior to important events, when stress is induced, but can be experienced in situations of impending danger.

Sounds like Drab was more looking for a way out than the 'wife' he was supposed to be looking for

Just wanted to say thanks to those who pointed out that Kate had a new blog entry! I love reading her blog and all the light she has been able to shed on the inside perspective of the show. For those that like Kate's blog they should also read Tina's and Bevin's my space blogs. They also gave some very interesting insider information.

I knew this show was heavily edited, but now that we are getting tidbits showing us the extent, well it is just very disheartening to me. It really seems that absolutely everything about this show is false, and if that is the case what is the purpose of this show? It seems that the only purpose that it has served is that it hurt everyone involved and left them all open to public ridicule. Since DeDe was my favorite I am especially sensitive to things that are written about her. It just breaks my heart to see some of the message boards tearing apart her looks and calling her chubby or fat. The girl is probably like a size 2 - there is nothing fat about her. She is very tiny and petite. Just because she has womanly curves and is not pencil thin she is being criticized. Seriously, when did society's image of what a woman should look like get so unrealistic?

Anyway, with Fleiss's crazy editing and throwing everyone under the bus this year, he may have just dug his own grave. I guess we will all have to see what the ratings are next season? I seriously wonder how anyone can go on this show any longer w/the knowledge of how they will portray you on TV.

I agree with you Soccermama.I'm very disappointed too and especially hurt by all those rumors floating about DeAnna and all the comments about her looks. I find her very beautiful and classy. She is quite the inspiration to all the girls who are dealing with self esteem issues and a good model for the modern strong independent woman. We've got to see her vulnerable and feminine side too when she fell in love with the Bachelor. I find solace in the fact that she has a wonderful family that will help her pull though this and move on to better things and a happier future. As for the show, it's only now that I completely understand what the sleuths have been saying all along about editing and Fleiss ways.I'm not sure that I'll ever be able to enjoy watching the show in the future.

I just saw this today, not sure if it's been posted here. This is a link to Kate's blog, from B10. She says she's keep in touch with crew members from the show and they gave her details about the ATFR show. Not sure if I think it's true or not. Some of it sounds odd, imo.

I can't post the link, since I'm new, but here is what she wrote:

He told Deanna that he missed her very much because of the simple fact that it's true. What the show didn't let people see is he told Jenni the very same thing; that he missed her like crazy. He did have strong feelings for the two women. Telling each of them that he missed her was the equivalent of telling a buddy of his that he hasn't talked to in 2 1/2 months that he missed her. There was SO much that the producers left out of the final rose ceremony. BOTH women, yes BOTH, at one time or another admitted that they NEVER felt lied to or misled....but, of course, the producers wanted to make Brad the bad guy.

"Why did he buy the ring if he wasn't interested in the women?" I'll tell you why: The "ring buy day" was part of his itinerary of the show. In other words, he was TOLD, not asked, to look at rings. He was simply following standard procedure of the show. He talked to the producers after that day and told them he did not feel a proposal at all. But, of course, it appeared to all of America like he was shopping for a ring for the woman he loved....not the case at all.

People are bashing him because he asked Deanna's father to fly in so he could ask for his daughter's hand in marriage. He NEVER ONE TIME REQUESTED FOR THE PRODUCERS TO FLY HIM IN. He stated earlier that he would simply never propose to a woman without having the father's approval and that he would like to talk to him in person if and when that ever happened. Due to a tight schedule, the producers took it upon themselves to fly him in. When he found out about this he pretty much freaked out and begged the producers to let him talk to he dad so he could tell him face to face that he was sorry the show wasted the dad's time. He wanted to be a man about the fact that he didn't love his daughter and wanted to tell him that in person. He explained all of this during the ATFR taping but, yet again, they didn't show Brad saying that it was actually the producers that flew in her father, not Brad. What's ironic, and I swear I'm not fabricating this the least little bit, is that Brad had ten minutes all alone with Deanna after the taping. She said that her father gained more respect for Brad when he found out Brad was able to tell Deanna goodbye since he didn't feel enough to propose.

Did you know that when they brought him on stage during the ATFR taping, not ONE SINGLE PERSON BOOED. Not a single one. In fact, a row of women stood up and in unison said "We love your honesty, Brad". The editors put a sound byte of boos so that America would jump on the "what a jerk" train.

He didn't see a future with them. Neither of them would have moved to Austin. So whats the point?

There is so much editing. You have no idea how much they do. I went in knowing that they edit things like crazy but you have no idea what extent they will go to.

I know all this info b/c 2 crew members that I have kept in touch with since I was on the show. They are both awesome people. Both were pretty down to earth normal people. They are quitting soon b/c they hate it!!!

Many of us here believe you and understand your postition, babyface. Again thanks for your input. Kate is confirming what you say about the production end in her blog, as well.

    Love the Jessica Rabbit quote.

I just wonder if Kate isn't being used as part of the spin control by the producers of the Bachelor? Maybe she is being fed "information" by "crew members" on purpose.

Re: Final Thoughts on Bachelor 11

I don't understand why everyone is so upset about him not picking someone. Wouldn't it be more dishonest to choose someone and know it isn't right? I've dated plenty of great guys, but it didn't mean I wanted to marry them.

I think he went through the show and did like these girls and think they were great, and maybe even thought up to the end he would propose. I think perhaps he just knew it wouldn't work, but was denying until the time he had to go through with it.

I felt badly that DeAnna seemed to think at the atfr show that he'd ask to be with her. And I get why he didn't want to, he liked both girls, but knew they had no chance, especially since they all lived so far away. Like it or not, he just wasn't into them.

To me, the better solution would be to spend more time up front before dismissing a huge bunch of the girls at first. Maybe the girl of his dreams was dismissed the first night because he didn't get enough time to talk to her. I've been married 15 years now and I can tell you I may have dismissed my husband the first night because he wasn't what I thought I was looking for at first.

This is what I have said every season. Number one, there isn't enough time at all to explore feelings for 25 different women..whom MOST of them you don't even get a chance to speak to probably for more than 5 minutes (those who are sent home the first night). I really do feel many are sent home who could have really been 'the one', and the bachelore/ette will never know because of too many to choose from, and not near enough time to get to know them individually.
