| Re: Bevin - Bachelor 10 The pendulum of fortune swings quickly from the beginning of the week to the end of the week. First Bevin is respected for her non-display of over-emotionalism, now she is reviled for seeming the actress. Differing points of view, but it is fun to watch the pendulum swing - back and forth - mesmerizing. The same swing has happened with most of the characters on this show now that it has ended. Bevin is an intelligent woman who is looking for a mate. So, she decided to try reality tv at this time with this particular man, rather than take potluck on the internet or the bars. I do not know Bevin except for what I have read about her and what I've seen on the show (including the ATFR) and I am not going to blame her for applying for this show when a man who seemed to match her intellect and interests was touted as the Bachelor. Nor do I fault Tessa for following through with her application once she saw one of the first previews. He was a drawing card for those who had difficulty meeting men of his caliber in their real lives. I do not fault Bevin for crying or whining after she broke her ankle. The edit critics were right all along, of course. This "bad" an edit would never happen for the F1. They could have left out her 2nd episode "whine" about not having 1:1 time with Andy. They could have left out the trying to get ready in the Tahoe hotel room crying and complaining. But, they left all that in so Andy's reassurances were seen to be genuine and heartfelt. But, they also lessened his attachement with Nicole's continued "wonderment" about whether Andy was into Bevin or just being a doctor. Bevin's thread - back to Bevin. I have so much respect for the way she is living her life. She is using her education and intelligence in such a way that will benefit or shed light on the functioning of post-menopausal women (of which the huge baby boom generation is just now cresting that wave) will add to a better scientific understanding of how our bodies and emotions work. I more than admire her energy to be working on a masters degree at the same time. I think (from what I have read) that she will go with the motto, "Live, Laugh, Love," with her family, friends and the man who will be her soul mate. Go Bevin Go

Eloped means to run away and get 'married'. So, I don't understand what you mean. I wasn't a Bevin fan, but in her blurb on her myspace page...she makes lovely comments about many of the girls in the house. I think that is very sweet.

| Re: Bevin - Bachelor 10 Around the middle of April - before it was announced on the show - a poster revealed Bevin's marriage and divorce. The information was obtained from the court record. They didn't post the actual date she got married but it seems logical it was after she turned 19 (November 1997) and before she turned 20 (November 1998) since she was married in 1998 and divorced in 2002. |

If you remember Bevin didn't have a lot of alone time with Andy. During the Tahoe date she was just getting to know him. She even said at the next rose ceremony that she needed to get to know Andy better to see if her feelings for him were real. If she would have had a one on one date before the hometowns she probably would have told him about her divorce but that just didn't happen. Sure Bevin has tattoo's a lot of people do. Tattoos are becoming more and more popular. I would say I know just as many people who have tattoos as don’t. As for the 9 piercings I find that hard to believe. I only observed her wearing one pair of earrings at a time. Bevin has a past - we all do - I admire her for owning up to it and making changes for the better. IMO Bevin is an intelligent, insightful, classy, fun, energetic woman. It was a pleasure to get to know a little about her on the show. I wish her nothing but the best and I hope she can find “the real man” of her dreams someday who will unconditionally love and accept her for the beautiful person she is inside and out.

| Re: Bevin - Bachelor 10 I think she said in the survey she had on her myspace (it's not there anymore) that she had 9 piercings once, but now she has only 3... so there's her earrings and one more... I guess either one more earring or a belly button piercing...

| Re: Bevin - Bachelor 10 Bevin should forget that she ever went on The Bachelor. Don't ever let her future kids see her on The Bachelor (dvd, tapes, etc). Forget about Andy. She can find someone better (not a military man, please- they go away for long trips). Bevin has a good job working at Stanford University (true, right??). Why would Bevin even consider giving up a job at Stanford? Please, Bevin- stop saying "A kiss is just a kiss". Maybe you'll have better luck with men if you stop giving out kisses so freely. You give yourself away too easily. Have some pride- you are not a bad person. You cried too much on tv but you were never bitchy. I appreciate that. |

![]() And, I hardly find tattoos and piercings substantial enough to judge someone's character on. And, she has admitted she made a stupid mistake in getting married when she was 19. If she was making excuses for her immaturity then, I would be a little concerned. But, I am impressed by her maturity to admit that she made a mistake and has learned from it, and is now trying to better herself.

| Re: Bevin - Bachelor 10 From Bevin's myspace www.myspace.com/bevinpowers You're probably visiting my page due to the last season of The Bachelor where I fell in love and was left broken hearted. Well, it was surely an adventure both physically and emotionally. I visited 12 hotels and was on 13 flights in 6 weeks. Talk about exhausting, and most of it done on crutches (I did use them when the cameras were rolling). I know quite a few friends want to know more about me so here it goes......I'm working in research at Stanford University at The Woman's Center for Neuroscience. I study cognition in women who are post menopausal and also run a few studies that focus on Alzheimer's disease. I also study libido in the same population. I've been at Stanford for 3.5 years and have also worked with teens administering a smoking cessation program in alternative high schools around the Bay Area. Before that I was living in Seattle. I've had may jobs in my 13 years of working and I'm proud to say that I worked full time during college and continue to work full time currently as I make my way through grad school. Many find my life quite interesting since I was raised in the Caribbean and also attended boarding school in Canada. My parents weren't afraid to move their family to a 3rd world country and for that I am truly thankful. It has given me such perspective on life. I have an older sister, who is the mother of my 2 beloved nephews and married to her high school sweetheart, and 2 younger brothers. Lets see- I hate spiders, pasta and dishonest people. I love tomatoes, my 2 dogs (Bean and Cricket), being outside, football games, tailgating, sun, bbq, fresh flowers, classical music, and gardening. I could go on but I don't want to get carried away. So some answers to your questions.....my ankle was broken on the show and was mis-diagnosed. Since I've been home, more x-rays and scans revealed 2 fractures and damage to a tendon. I was in pain for the show but who can pass up the opportunity to hike through Hawaii???? At the time I thought, "what the heck? A sprain...no big deal!" And as for Andy- Yes, I did love him. He did not love me. End of story. All in all, the show gave me a chance to experience something that is unique and rare. I met fabulous women who are the only ones who will really understand what The Bachelor was all about. It is a different world. BTW- the "check up" question on ATFR was a joke....not anything more!!!! To my friends and supporters- Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!! I read all my messages and trying to answer them all.....there are many so please don't think I'm ignoring anyone. Tessa- wonderful friend and confidant Amber- mother of the mansion, caring, passionate Danielle- the sweetest and strongest Nicole- sultry, sassy Kate- hilarious, best one liners, can burp with the best of'em Tina- random and refreshing, compassionate Alexis- gorgeous, real and classy Erin- down to earth, intelligent Stephanie T- athletic, confident Stephanie W- poised, gentle Amanda- beautiful and fun Susan- stunning and graceful Peyton- eloquent and reliable |

THANKS JENNIE!! Funny thing that all of the girls in the house hated her and wanted nothing to do with her, yet they are all listed as her friends on myspace. Yes, I know that many people will add anyone as their "friends", but personally, if I had as much disdain for someone that people try to imply was had for Bevin, well...I would just stay away on all fronts. Once again, thanks Jennie for showing us fans what a thoughtful and insightful person Bevin really is, despite evil Fleiss.
