All this bachelor season we've been told in the previews and interviews that this show was pretty true to life about An Officer and a Gentleman. The producer did his best to make Bevin look like she was from the other side of the tracks, but head over heels in love with her man.

Really? I must have missed that completely. I just thought they used the title because well, Andy is an officer and a gentleman and it's catchy. I did not think they was a tie in to the movie storyline at all.

I can't wait to see who wins this thing. I have never been so into a season of the bachelor as this one. andy has a real genuine spirit about him, but he is loving macking on both women. I can't tell who has the "real" love story, but you should check out all the defensive posts over on Tessa's blog.

I just can't grasp who TPTB is really editing. Bevin and Andy are on fire and having fun to me and Tessa and andy are sweet and tense. but everyone claims that is a developing love story with Tess and him. then you see Bevin and him in the dating mode, that new exciting feeling of being together and Tessa can't even give him a real un-tight lip kiss. I can tell Andy is really trying to reach Tessa, she is his "type" from all other view points, however, is Andy looking to move out of the zone and go for a blonde this time that is not conservative? which seems like a stretch but that navy boy has more than explaining to do if i am his fiance' and i watched him "enjoy" bevin like that, TV or not. Plus does Tess have the personality, that everyone on the FORT has this perception of, to really handle that kind of TV-Bevin love? she seems to me that she would not take that, she is better than that, she does not like the cameras and she doesn't have to fall in love this way (even though she did go on the show

) she is really turning out to be arrogant to me.

p.s. I really liked what Bevin said to Andy before accepting the fantasy suite, I thought it was very classy and that she was smart enough to know that she was being edited in a certain kind of light. jShe made sure that everyone even Andy knew she was not just going there for hanky panky.

It was classy. She was seeking more than the physical as well.

Yes! I loved seeing that in Bevin, also. She told Andy she wanted to talk, and Im sure they did lots of that.

Andy keeps checking off more Bevin items from his checklist:

natural chemistry - check
has fun with children - check
smart - check
warm family unit - check
shared laughter - check
athletic - check
loves the outdoors - check
wants a family - check
Loves Me - check

Now, if he can mitigate the compatibilty issues of religion and political views like he did with her divorce, the remaining elements of Bevin can be checked off his analytical list and he can seal it with a big LOVE stamp.

Yes, I heard this on a radio interview Andy had done way back when the show started. They were going to try to potray the show as much as they could to the movie.

I don't mean this in an insulting way. There is another movie this sorta kinda reminds me of. Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman. She was not perfect, but she had fallen in love with her man and vice versa.

People seemed to really go for the love story in Pretty Woman and An Officer and a Gentleman. Love overcame some obvious obstacles in those movies. The audience cheered the heroine on in the end when she got her man.

I'm cheering Bevin on. I don't see her as a loose woman, I don't know her. All anyone really knows about her is how she was edited. I am not qualified to judge people because I am not a mind reader.

When Bevin and Andy put their foreheads together, this shows that they really are in deeply in love. They also feel an electricity together. What a combination. I saw Andy trying to put his forehead up to Tessa's forehead and she did not lean in.
