Great analogy. My question is, why, have they edited Bevin so bad and edited Tessa to look so good? Almost seems they are telling us Tessa was chosen by Andy and Bevin was thrown to the curb
Exactly. Despite the analysis, the fatal flaw is Bevn's edit. I've watched every season of TB and no one who's received an edit like Bevin's has been F1. And Fleiss hasn't suddenly changed tactics this season because Andy is a dream come true for this series -- a bachelor who actually took the process seriously, fell in love, proposed to the woman he loves, and a perfect image for the media appearances on behalf of the show: handsome, articulate, obviously in love with his chosen one. No way would Fleiss do this to his fiance. I understand some will insist another story is being told in Andy's relationship with Bevin. I just don't believe it's there.

But don't you think Ian got a bad edit through his hometown date when he introduced Meredith to his brother. It was the big dilemma of "why doesn't Ian want Mer to meet his parents?" And then when his brother came back into the apartment and pulled Ian from his discussion with Mer, only to take him down a staircase saying "there's other fish in the sea" and we see Ian agreeing.

All I'm saying is that it's not too late and there have been other bad edits that have come in F1.

I agree ~ at the time of the show posters were quite negative regarding Ian ~ and most especially Estella during Bob's show received a negative edit vs. perky, cute Kelly Jo. Oh boy, that was a fun season to post as saying she was the F1.

Hang in there Team Bandy!

I have to disagree that it's "not too late" to rehabilitate Bevin's edit. I believe that it is, in fact, too late. And no one with as bad an edit as Bevin has received has made it to F1. Only my opinion, of course.

As for Ian, I never thought it was a "bad" edit. To me, the chemistry between Mere/Ian was just as obvious as is Andy/Tessa's this season, so the distractions Fleiss was throwing at the audience about Ian's doubts and intentions were just that to me -- distractions. I never thought Ian looked "bad". I thought the other other guy, who was F2 (can't even remember his name now -- the squarehead ) looked positively buffonish and never believed Mere would consider him for F1, even though Fleiss tried hard (and apparently succeeded with some viewers) to make us believe he was the one.

I disagree. I thought Ian had a bad edit, as well. I never thought he and Meredith were suited for each other. He wasnt seen in the best light with his elusiveness.

We'll have to agree to disagree about Ian's edit. I thought his skepticism about the process was realistic and healthy, rather than negative. And I remember at the time there was the same disagreement among viewers -- some thought there must be something shady about him and therefore Mere would never choose him, others saw right through Fleiss' smoke and mirrors.

Well if you think about it Mary in the Byron's season. A lot of people thought she had a bad edit... Crying and always saying that she idn't want to get hurt again. and remember the scene in the house when she stood up to Jane???
Yes, Mary was shown crying, but I don't think what we saw of Mary equates to the level of Bevin's edit. And to many viewers at the time, the attraction between Byron and Mary was just as noticable as the Andy/Tessa attraction, so again, Fleiss' attempt to distract from the obvious chemistry worked for some part of the audience, but not for all.

You are right ~ we see right through Fleiss's smoke and mirrors regarding Bevin's edit.

Re: Bevin - Bachelor 10

I still do not think Bevin's edit is that bad. In this kind of circumstance, it is normal to feel insecure, and cry, etc. I mean you are dating a guy you like with other women doing the same thing. Who wouldn't feel like Bevin does?

Well that is my opinion.
