I think the relationship with Andy and Tess was over well before Marla came on the scene. I agree, if Andy ever has any hopes of getting Tess back, he is going about it the wrong way. I wish him well also, K9Mom.

well IMHO....as much as I would have liked to have been wrong and that Andy and Tessa could have worked out...I knew it wouldn't...I told several people on this board when they showed the picture and information on him before his season ever begin that he was a "player"..that was my first impression ...and then when the season started...I really felt like he was "too much in love with himself" to really love another person...

Do I think he wanted things to work out with Tessa...YES I do...but only because the public seemed to love her much more than they did him...and I don't think she liked all the exposure he wanted them to have...

Buzz up!Bachelor Andy Baldwin and his girlfriend Marla Maples have called it quits, he tells Usmagazine.com.

Baldwin's recent move to Washington, D.C. to take a job as an advocate for Navy Medicine put a strain on their relationship, he tells Us.

"The big move coupled with the long distance relationship wasn't working for us so I decided we were better off as friends," Baldwin says.

He first broke the news to the Washington Post. "We were friends, it got romantic for a little while, but we're just friends," he told the paper.

Baldwin, 31, and Maples, 44, met last year and spent New Year's together. They recently celebrated Easter in Hawaii.

"He's just a good soul," Maples told Us in April. "He's an absolute, complete gentleman."

A source close to Baldwin told Us, “He is inspired by her.”

Baldwin was briefly engaged to Tessa Horst, who won the final rose on The Bachelor.

Andy was just on Fox News and spoke about his new role trying to recruit men and women who want to be doctors, into the Navy. What suprised me is that they showed several clips of him with Bevin on the Bachelor. No clips of other women.
