Whenever Andy competes in the Louisville Ironman, for instance, he is representing the Navy. While he was in Louisville he visited hospital patients (one visit to a very sick child is on youtube), spoke at a college, threw out a first pitch at a Louisville Bats baseball game, etc. He was representing the Navy at all of these events. He gets leave time based on the days he's on duty....these days in Louisville counted as being on duty. Ordinarily he is off weekends and nights except when he's on call. It seems like he has a lot of time off, but he really doesn't. A lot of what we see him do is either on his off-call weekends or his Navy sponsored sporting events. Hope this helps...I didn't explain it too well!

IMO, Andy can only blame Andy for the media attention, he puts himself out there in the limelight, media is going to follow him and he never seems to show any dislike for attention. The question is, how does the media attention affect Tessa.

And that to me is what determines the show's success not how long the couple stays together. They need to sell the love story long enough that hopeless romantics (like myself) will watch and they put the ratings up. I think Brad will be very successful whether or not he stays with his choice because he is already popular at least on here. If it turns into ratings, then Fleiss will continue it. It is all about the ratings. If it was about couples staying together they would have cancelled the series by now. I think you are right about that too.

You have a good point, with different things that have happened since the shows ending I do not have the respect for Andy I did just after the show. I do feel he is a decent guy with many good attributes just doesn't think before he acts at times.

The bottom line is, they gave us a good season and a couple more seasons of the bachelor.

I wish only the best for those two and maybe things will seattle down for them in a couple of weeks.

I am not going to say much...just this.....I would caution you all to not believe wht you read in the before mentioned magazine. and others like it. In the past two months we have been told...!. that Andy reproposed to Tessa in July(NOT TRUE). 2. that Andy broke the engagement because he was pining for Bevin(NOT TRUE), 3.that Andy and Tessa had broken up, not just ended their engagement(NOT TRUE)...now this! And this is just Andy and Tessa! What happened to Brad and Angelina'a break-up(they were together at the Venice Film Festival last week!!) Just take what these gossip rags say as being worth a grain of salt! Andy and Tessa are JUST FINE!

Thanks Rhodie!. It's also interesting that now Just Jared is saying that maybe Andy and Tessa are still together--they finally saw the pics from last weekend. It's very clear to me that NONE of these rags have any inside information about Andessa's relationship. No true inside friend would call up the rag and report personal information, jmo.I have no reason to believe there's any trouble in their real life relationship because I don't know them and I don't believe the RAGS have the slightest inside information. I know that you are in a position to know much more of what the truth is and thanks for the report. I definitely thought I saw the love blossom and wish them well.
Note: Maybe I was unique, but before my dh, of 33 years, and I got married we had several disagreements---we still do, on ocassion.

The Honolulu Advertiser is stating that Tessa/Andy are still together.
Just Jared is questioning who Andy loves and finds it so confusing, like many others. Time will tell what really is the situation with Tessa/Andy.

I think it's over and probably has been for quite some time. There have been too many inconsistencies, half-truths, made-up words, made-up meanings to words, and hypocrisy on the part of both Andy and Tessa for me to believe that this is a genuine relationship. I almost hope that Brad did not propose marriage to the woman he chose. I'd much rather see a realistic love story begin to blossom on the show and then continue long after the final rose has been given out than watch another farce of a relationship play out in the media. jmho

You have the Paris Hilton types, those who show up at charitable events just to get their picture taken, ( ) and you have Andy, who is working hard for these charities. No matter what you think of Andy, he is involved in worthy projects. That is admirable.
