Josh got an unbelievably bad edit on this show - anyone who thinks otherwise needs to meet him at his next race and talk to him yourself, which I'm sure he would happily do because he's also a great ambassador for the sport. He's a person of honor. If I lived in Murrietta I'd go after him myself. I'm curious why so many people are on the Jason train and yet put Josh down - remember how Jason said in the second episode that Josh had a heart of gold? It's no accident those two became friends. I'd be honored to date a man who was saving himself for the love of his life.

Just my $0.02, but I had to say something. End of rant.
Runner Grrl.. you should '"delurk" more often! We'd love for you to join us. I'll also, go on board saying I respect both Josh and Jason for standing up for their convictions. One thing I noted is that they didn't seem to be pushing their beliefs on others from what we could tell, they were both probably asked directly in Private interviews about their 'virgin' status(possibly after stating that they were waiting for marriage in their bios.) I also have noticed in a couple of the guys who've given interviews (Ben and Mike for instance) listed one or both of them as guys they became friends with. Whether we share their beliefs or not, I'm one who admires someone who stands by their convictions, whatever they are.
As an aside, did you guys catch the remark Josh made about how the producers manipulated him into answering the door (to Jen) shirtless?? Now speaking of people who often lack a lot of principles... that's those Fleiss.. guys!! .. I can just hear 'em.. "It's all about ratings, baby, whatever it takes!!"

RunnerGrrl Thanks for your excellent post. I have to admit I was pretty turned off by Josh, but it's good to know he's not like he appeared on the show. Unfortunately the majority of us only get to see what the producers choose to show us, so it's good to hear from someone who actually knows him.

I did catch that.. and remember how turned off Jen was? I know I was too, but I should have figured that it was manipulated by the producers.

Well, I don't hate your comments, but I am surprised at them. Why do you think that anyone who has not had sex by their late 20s either thinks sex is dirty or is hard to get along with? Why don't you consider the possibility that someone could abstain for religious or moral reasons? I see no reason not to believe him when he says that his moral beliefs are the reason for his virginity.

I think that a man who marries as a virgin or who marries the first woman he gets seriously involved w/sexually shouldn't get married.
Why? There is nothing wrong with a sexually inexperienced man getting married. He'll learn. I think believing there is something wrong with a man getting married who is a virgin is as rigid as thinking there is something wrong with an unmarried woman who is not a virgin.

I give kudos to Josh for sticking to his beliefs.

I agree that he appeared self-absorbed and a little intense on the show. The shirtless greeting was a real turn-off at that point. Always good to hear another side than what we see on the TV. Jen didn't seem to share some of his views and beliefs so it's good thing they parted ways.

Josh was on Star 98.7 this morning with Jamie and Danny... Apparently he went out to Casino Morongo with the radio show this weekend. Jamie had thought he was really cool until this morning's conversation - in which he just came across as insincere and a little slow. He said that he has been seeing a girl off and on for the last 5 years - and it was this girl that he brought to Casino Morongo this weekend. He's trying to decide "if she's the beauty written on [his] heart" - i.e. if he wants to marry her. They tried to convince him that someone he refused to call his girlfriend after 5 years of dating (which he kept calling "hanging out") obviously wasn't the one for him. And that he should stop stringing her along. That was about it. He came off as, well, odd.

Josh and Jason - 2 virgins

Ok - at least I found one of their threads. Guess what Jason's favorite quote is - yet another by CS Lewis. Couldnt resist. http://www.jasonillian.com/flash.html

Good lord....a virgin and has a girlfriend, oh sorry, a "hang out buddy", for five years...that girl deserves a medal for sticking with him so long.

And thanks Pajamasam for digging this old thread up...it made me laugh to re-read some of the old snark. I posted Josh's warrior website link on the other thread when you mentioned it earlier.

We must be dying for this new show to start when we are digging up old stuff about this tool. Calling Dr. Stork, STAT.
A Bachelor fan til it dies a slow death and oddly enough, A Rock of Love fan...finest hair extensions from Europe and all. ;-)

Yeah - I vote to change your name to IGotaLaugh. Cause you really gave me a chuckle and inspired me to search this stuff out. It appears that Jason has still not married. Check out the news section at his site. Cavorting at the white house! He's in heaven with all the publicity as the "bachelor virgin".
