| So what was with JP's last interview where he said that we would be "pleased" with this last show? Is anyone actually pleased? Grrrr! |

| Wasn't it JP who said he doesn't believe in divorce and that he thinks people consider it an "option" these days, but he's not one of those people. Well here he is in that radio interview saying he's so glad he didn't win. Dude, why'd you ask her to freaking MARRY you then? What's with these guys taking it back. That bugs. |

So, I do think these people do develop what are real feelings for the circumstances they are in. And I think that many of the more introspective ones are genuinely surprised at themselves, when it's all over, at how powerful their emotions were.

| This is probably just rumor, but didn't someone say that JP was really angry at the FRC and that he wouldn't even take her hand when they walked out. Well, if it is true- then I can see why they would possibly reshoot the ending. They definitely chopped up the Jerry FR. I saw the rose on his lapel - when did she pin it on, did I miss it? They cut out a lot....... not good. She has a secret. |

![]() He has said that he doesn't deny that he totally felt for Jen during the taping, but after seeing everything that has taken place, he's lost respect for her and is glad that he didn't win.

| Exactly. I think JP DID have feelings for Jen...genuine ones, at that. The way she acted in the end so cold and as if she didnt regard these men's feelings, what man wouldn't be glad now that he wasn't chosen?

| Yep - I agree, Noreen. I think she's hiding something, too.

| You could see JP trying to wrangle his fingers from Jen's hand as they are walking out! Kind of funny and I was loving it! She was getting the same cold shoulder treatment as she usually gave. Sorry, I'm still not over my Jen dislike! |

| John Paul moves on "The Bachelorette's" John Paul Merritt, the second-to-last bachelor to receive a rose from Jen Schefft, invaded Schefft's party scene last weekend and even—gasp!—went to a club run by the company where she works. Despite being rejected by Schefft, Merritt has moved on just fine (maybe a little too fine) adjusting to single life again and embracing his 15 minutes of fame. As he told me, "I'm happy with my situation now." Merritt was spotted attracting a lot of attention while shopping on Michigan Avenue on Wednesday afternoon. The reality TV contestant made a stop at Nordstrom, where his lady fans flocked to admire him. Later that night, he partied at Moda. The party continued Thursday when Merritt dined at Japonais with his friends from Oklahoma City and then partied at P.S. Chicago, 4 and Le Passage. Neither Schefft nor Billy Dec (Who have been rumored to be dating—rumors they both denied) were there at the time. Friday night, Merritt and his buddies went to see the Graham Colton Band at the House of Blues and went back to Le Passage. Amid his busy partying schedule, he took the time to answer a few questions. How's your love life? Have you dated since the show? You know what? For once I'm kind of excited because I've totally put my love life on hold. And I can start totally fresh and new, and it's kind of fun. I mean I haven't had that in forever. Do you want a girlfriend? I don't want to say no; I don't want to say yes. Do you think Schefft could have handled the whole situation with Jerry better? I definitely think she could have handled the situation with Jerry better. I know if I would have been in his position, I wouldn't have done it [waited three months for her response to his proposal]. When was the date when Jen and Jerry broke up—do you know what the turning point was after the show wrapped? What I heard, it was two weeks. About two weeks. John Paul moves on |
