With all due respect, JP wouldn't have made it this far if he wasn't rich. They made a point of showing Jen saying that she was disappointed that JP won the one-on-one to Mohegan Sun and that she would rather it had been Ryan or Ben. She started seeing him in a different light after he told her about "his holdings". Her eyes lit up when she saw his house and I think it was because she could see herself entertaining her "brainiac" friends there.

I don't see it that way at all. She said that she was disappointed that JP won the date because she had wanted to get to know Ryan and Ben better. No big deal. She had had a number of one on one conversations with JP at that point, and not with Ben and Ryan.

She mentioned on the date that she really enjoyed her time with him because they had a lot of fun laughing and talking and she really liked him. And... to say that Jen's just looking at him for his money is laughable after what she turned down with Andrew.

That's right! And that's what JP is stressing as well. He knows that economic security is a big card to play in this game.

And I'm not so sure that he's really all that mature. He's just stodgy. And why the heck would any guy consider proposing to a woman who hasn't even given him a real kiss? It's kind of a big negative signal. It's got to the point where, in order not to make it so glaringly obvious that Jen only has chemistry with Jerry, that we don't see any romance! I'm quite bummed about that- why else would I watch this stupid show?

It's true that when you rewatch the RC scene when Jen talks with JP one on one all she talks about is that he has a great job, a great house, blah blah blah... All material items first then on to if he is ready to settle. Where was the conversation as to whether he can name 3 thinks he likes about Jen?

KMJM - you know I love JP & don't think he's stodgy. BUT I do think that he needs Jerry's brother in his corner -- as do all runners up -- to remind him that she's going thru the motions with SOMEONE and you'd better be sure it's not you! It's terrible that even if he asks her, "are you holding back?" she can't answer truthfully! A tragic part of the SHOW.

I don't think for a minute that Jen is impressed by JP's accomplishments because she wants to share in his wealth. I think she's impressed by it because he has accomplished this by the age of 25 and for what it tells her about JP. However, I agree with most that there doesn't appear to be any romantic sparks between them. There's a possibility that a lot may be on the editing floor, but Jen is too far into Jerry.

Jen wants Jerry to say I'm falling in LOVE with you, not "I LIKE you" or "you have beautiful eyes, smile and hands" or "I have a CRUSH on you." She wants to hear from Jerry what she heard Ryan say and what JP is saying to her. That's why she gave it her all to get Jerry to say those things at the fantasy dinner because they are so close to the FRC and she needs this reassurance from Jerry. IF Jerry is falling in love with her, he needs to let go of his fear of losing his pride by telling her he is, but he may be holding back in the event she doesn't choose him so he can maintain that pride. He should know that, for the sake of the show, that Jen is obligated not to verbalize her love to him. However, having said that, I'm sure she received more reassurance from Jerry on the fantasy date *after* the cameras were gone.

I say it's going to be Jerry, so ABC... please bring JP back as the next bachelor!!!

Absolutely. Don't you recall the outtake of Ian saying "I can't say that word? L.O.V.E.?" to the producer when they were filming an interview?

And back to xJP, this wouldn't be a problem with him. There's no love there. There's game there. He's admitted that in interviews. He needs the trophy wife to go with the trophy house, and trophy company, and trophy restaurant. This guy's all about acquisitions to pad his 'young business entrepreneur reputation'.

ogopogo - could you go further in depth about any recent interviews? Paraphrasing, of course, per board rules. Thanks!

This is really loose paraphrasing, but I believe it was connected to a basketball game he was a 'special guest' for within the last couple of weeks if you wanted to track it back (and it's on the board here somewhere), but he talked about intentionally not getting to know the other guys, to having his 'game face' on and not telling them anything about his dates, or showing any emotions so that they wouldn't know what was up. All very much a game to him. Even after Ben did the toast on the first show, his reaction was that he wasn't there to bond with the guys, he was there to win Jen.
