I think Jake can tell her whaat was missing, but he doesn't want to hurt her feelings. I wasn't in the relationship & even I know what he's saying. Jake doeosn't want to just come out & say "I don't find you sexually attractive" to the sweet Disney Princess. He'd be more hated than he already is.
