But I think it was pretty clear from the number of girls who were shocked that Vienna was still around when they were sent home, or the Improv performance about Vienna the girls thought so funny, or the number of girls who said something to Jake about Vienna that at the time, there were plenty of women in that house who were annoyed by her.

Hindsight is very different from being in the situation. While they said at the time that they disliked her, it's probably because they were living with her round the clock in a fishbowl. It would make everything heightened and more difficult. I imagine that now, months after the filming ended, the girls were able to get a more distanced perspective on Vienna as a person.
ITA with your post. Vienna was not just chosen at random to receive the "everybody hates her" edit; she really was annoying to many women in the house, largely due to her perceived immaturity and competitiveness, but it was exaggerated in the editing. Bear in mind, too, that their "beef" with Vienna lasted for all of a week, or at most a month back in October, and it's doubtful they hold any bad feelings towards her now. Also, when asked to comment, why make yourself look bad by appearing to hold a grudge, better to be magnanimous and say "I liked her" even if you didn't really at the time.

I shouldn't be trying to post and watch the olympics at the same time, but I think the women in the house had plenty to say about the other girls besides Vienna that was less than flattering. We saw Ashleigh commenting on how Tenley was so bubbly it amounted to her being nearly psychotic (or something like that), and I can't imagine that there weren't plenty of comments about Ali. The girl is full of herself and there's always resentment of a personality like that - but they chose not to show us. Vienna's large personality is easy to go after from a story standpoint. Too much of an opportunity there for the producers to not take advantage of that in my opinion. But I don't think for a minute there wasn't plenty of annimosity and lack of affection between any number of the girls although they likely didn't bring it out into the open - I expect it was expressed in PIs that we never saw.

I will say at first I didn't get why everyone in the house didn't like her, even defended her and questioned WHY don't they like her because it wasn't terribly clear. Other than the daddy's girl edit she received in the beginning package there wasn't much to her then they started letting her talk more. This may sound gross, but I got the daughter vibe with her and Jake, the way she talks to him and he coddles her. The whole I want to be the last one you talk to was irksome as well, and if that's an indication of what she's like most of the time then no thanks.

You couple that with the fact that people chose a favorite and their favorite didn't "Win" because of Vienna then naturally there will be some dislike towards her. It happens every season. There's usually a huge divide between the favorite and the winner if they are not the same person, and I really think that has very little to do with looks.

I would hope that her looks aren't the main or any part of the reason people don't like her. She has a really pretty smile, a nice figure. She's a cute girl. To be honest I didn't even notice she had a lazy eye until you brought it up.
Neither did I and that's my field, lol. I don't think it has anything to do with her looks just as I don't think it's jealousy. I think she caused a lot of drama in the house even before her 1 on 1 date. According to everyone, she seems to speak without thinking and did hurt some feelings along the way. It's not all editing because she's on camera crying and saying the 11 other girls all hate her. I think it's an example of her need for drama. I imagine she must be exhausting to be around.

Gia told her that the others all get along great when she's not there.

    Say what?!

I've been in Olympic Hockey mode and didn't watch last week and haven't been on the boards much. Did I miss something about this? I've not read anything about this website. Details please!

You guys seem to miss one very important clue that CANNOT be denied. The comments made by Vienna's family. "Everyone is always jealous of Vienna. Its been like that her whole life." (Not verbatim but you get the idea).

The girls clearly did not like Vienna. Tenley and Ali really did not like Vienna. I have a feeling that some of the girls probably hopped on the "I hate Vienna" bandwagon, but I think it is clear that Ali really did not like Vienna. I cannot possibly forget the scene where Ali was trying to unite the women against her. I think the reason Ali is currently claiming she doesn't hate Vienna is because she is doing damage control. I think most people have sided with Ali against Vienna but a lot of people have sided with Vienna as well. I think she has to gain more support since she wants to be the next bachelorette. That is my take on the situation.
I think a lot of the women who might have sided with Vienna just went home earlier than the others. Jake didn't seem to like the wild types and chose the more conservative girls to stay. I think the audience is more prone to like the conservative types and so they sided with Ali.

We have to remember these women were competing for a man they wanted to marry. That could make any woman nutty. I am sure Vienna and Ali are both little darlings to their friends/ family/and complete strangers but to women trying to steal their man.... yikes the claws came out! Ali knew how to play the bully and Vienna knew how to play the victim.

Every time I've heard a parent make a statement similar to that about their child they were making excuses for the kid's bad behavior. I guarantee you that not everybody is jealous of Vienna. I suspect very few people are jealous of Vienna. Doesn't make her unlovable by any means, but parents enabling/making excuses for their kids' bad behavior/choices is the main reason some kids take so long to grow up.

    JMHO, of course.

It was clear Vienna didn't like Ali either - don't forget in San Fran Ali did express her frustration with their relationship and didnt' know how to fix it - it was almost as if they had come to a truce to just let it go. Maybe I misread that, but that's the feeling I got from that convo.

Well said Alexxxx! Some of them play the victim role well enough to get their way, take the easy way out than grow up.

I doubt if Vienna really had a close relationship with her father, one where there is an open and honest interaction. Here's a girl who was maybe pampered by her dad with material things for his princess yet when she was making decisions in life like eloping with a guy at 17, where were the parents? I am not giving any credence to the rag stories....doubt how much of it is true, just what we have heard from the horse's mouth in this case during her convo. with Jake. Where were the parents to provide guidance when she was making choices and decisions at that young age? In her case she had two sets of parents. Parenting is more than just material stuff, the emotional/parental guidance is far more important. JMO!
