My take is that we are getting certain facts stretched and exaggerated and padding added to make the dramatic role that Vienna was cast to play.

Yes, she is a Daddy's girl. Yes, she was involved in 5 wrecks, but as stepmom says 4 of them weren't her fault - leave that part out for the drama.
On this board, we should all know by this time not to take what they say as the gospel truth. They have been told in many cases what to say, and we know that from past contenders.

When I study the edit clues, it looks like Vienna was perhaps meant to be one of the F6, not the F4. She was cast, I think, to provide the drama not to go to F4, but Jake took to her in the very same manner that Jillian did NOT take to him when the edit clues look to me like Jake was perhaps supposed to have been in the original F4.

IA I believe that when Jake had his hissy fit in the preview at the campground and said he wasn't sending anyone home, I don't believe he wanted to send both home at that time. I believe that was a producer decision. When I watch him talking to Chris at the RC and he says "do I have to give both roses out", I think he wanted to send Ashleigh, Jessie and Vienna home. IMHO, Jake listened to TPTB and lost his real F1 in the process. This is my theory and I could be way off, I doubt we'll ever know.

Maybe Jake realized he had been fibbing to himself about wanting to settle down with a wife and family right now. As the one with the choice for the picking did he realize he still wanted to play the field? It's almost like something snapped in him once Rozlyn "cheated" on him. He probably decided that rather go for ones he was interested in him, he went for the one showed the most interest in him (even if looked like obsession, the more attention the better). This way he could be sure she will stay with him and he would be in the driver's seat again. It all sounds like twisted logic, but we'd never know.

First: I don't know what happened, but that isn't my post up there!!

Here is what I think may have happened:

Believing that TPTB like to recycle ideas around and tie up loose ends, I think possibly single mom Ella (who came out of the limo at the same # as single dad Jason ) was supposed to have come out of that 2-1 and been in the F4 slot the same as Jason was in DeAnna's season when Graham was F1. When Graham left, Jason went to F2.
When F1 Ali left, Ella would have move up, and this time we would have had the single parent win the F1 (where Jason came out F2).

Vienna was always supposed to have been the drama role like Tanner, Robin, Marshanna, etc. However, Jake emotionally bonded with Vienna, and he did not emotionally bond with Ella. Therefore, he cut Ella, and Vienna took that F4 slot that Ella would have had. When Ali left, Vienna took over the F1 slot that I think the producers wanted Ella to have to make the single parent angle go full circle.

When Jake defended Vienna to Ali he managed to single-handedly put the kabash on his chances with Ali. Last episode he said was the turning point bec' he would be meeting the families. Ali had for all purposes given up after that date of pursuing him. She waited till she was done with the HTD and then said "Adios" and left. Makes sense.

See, I never thought he did this show to find a wife - and judging by his F3 (well 2 of them) it seems to me he decided the FDs were going to be loads of fun. And just maybe Tenley was supposed to leave at F4 instead of Ali - IDK, just guessing now.

I am respectfully asking this thread to stop quoting other posters. If you do it incorrectly, you are attributing posts to the wrong poster. Make sure you don't have a broken [quote] tag. This especially comes up when people try to bold parts of a quoted posts. If you do not pay attention it is easy to break the quote tag, which results in the chaos of the last 20 posts or so.

There is actually a stickied lesson on this already in the forum:

Bolding and Quoting- A Lesson ***Please Read***

Please read it, and if you don't understand it, don't try to bold and don't quote! Thank you.

hepcap - the issue isn't with the bolding part - as an experiment I quoted the a post that was quoted incorrectly and it grabs both quote names and if you don't notice that it will appear incorrectly. Not sure if tha'ts a board issue or a user issue.

It is NOT a board issue.

If you quote a post and you see [quote= name124324] [quote= anothername2343] you would need a close for both of those tags. People are quoting, not seeing there are two quote opening tags for two different people, and leaving one of them open so that it is attributing the post to the wrong person.

If you do not understand how it works do not quote another poster.

The problem was originally started because someone tried to bold something inside a quoted post, which broke the quote tag, which then left a hanging name, yadda yadda. We see it all the time and we usually delete broken posts because of the utter confusion.

might i add a suggestion, that you can always preview your post to see if you have quoted someone correctly, if if you have done something to break the tags.

LOL i had to edit my own posts because the text in hepcat's example broke the tags
