Edit Analysis *SPOILERS*

One thing that really stuck with me was that Jake is very adamant that he will find his wife in that group - I don't ever recall anyone being so positive before even meeting any of them. And the 'nice guys finish last' and that he's not 'engineered' to be alone. And we do have 2 different scenes of him crying (one on a railing and one on a balcony - many they really got their money's worth out of him)

I wonder if Fleiss likes the idea of whoever he chooses turning him down. We know he goes for the drama, so I wouldn't expect this season to be anything different. And this is a theme that has never been used - although it was thrown around last season that Jillian's choice would turn her down.

And where was that announcement that JED was supposed to make?

Is is odd that we have 0 sc's of Viennas HTD? If I remember with Jillian we had them but had a hard time figuring who and where they were. Is it normal that we have Ali, Gia and Tenleys HTD sc's so early?

No, it's not odd the show didn't show Vienna's HTD.

My theory was that season the final 1 would say no myself, but doesn't seem like that will happen.

As for Jillian and Ed...they asked the show to take out their wedding date announcement.

IA, LIB & CAPEGAL.... TPTB have played up Jake's search for a woman beautiful on the inside, and then filled the room with ta-tas (thanks, Christina).

The PI with Vienna edited as the bare-faced (naked truth?) Cryer of Fakeness made me think 1) Oh Pluhleese and 2) Cr*p! What if she's F1! Especially if Ali is getting the Amanda/Jillian/Reid edit.

In looking at the SCs, two things are crystal clear to me: Vienna is really out there with her feelings - expressive and emotive. He reacted positively when she said at the M&G that she had more energy than anyone else. Everything she's feeling shows up on her face. Secondly, Jake feels an extreme physical connection/attraction to her. He leans in to her, he feels comfortable putting his hand on her heart in epi 1, kissing her leg, having her dress draped over his lap early on... I think he thinks she is the real deal. Just hope that's true. But only if he's the real deal, too...:confused

Here they are in no particular order (as they say in beauty pagents).

First, there was an image of a red aircraft spiralling down to earth (the show took a nosedive?)

Second, there was a VO from Jake saying something about always being the story of his life about being alone, or finishing last (way the finale went?)

Third, CH and Jake have the initial convo. where CH asks him if Jake thinks after this season good guys finish first. (What ever did Jake say to that?)

Fourth, a VO of his saying he hopes she will say yes (Is she unsure of accepting a proposal or he really hopes she does or hopes she plays along for the finale? to what? we don't know yet).

Fifth, image of Jake going alone on a motorcycle (even if it was shot on M&G night why was that shown as part of the previews?)

Is the edit hinting at a possible engagement, long term relationship or are these hints to just another season that went nowhere (Brad season) but had to be completed anyways.

Any thoughts or add-ons?

Once again I'm reminded of the Bridge to Nowhere. Now that we know that Vienna gets that date, and that she's F1, and in light of the reported rumors about her recent past, again I have to speculate that "Bridge to Nowhere" is this season's theme.

Why did they do this?

have watched this show every season– that’s a lot of years. It’s a crying shame (for our values) that the primary reason now to watch it is to pick up on all the trickery going on — which girl is cast as the “crazy,” which is the “aggressive one,” etc. We also watch to see what the producers drum up as a “side drama” to bring in ratings. And we all know someone like Jake — nice-looking, bright (but not overly so), and eager to please. His lines are clearly scripted, and you can just see how he’s been coached to act and react in certain ways, pick certain girls, etc. He’s been promised his 15 minutes of fame, and for the most part, will get it.
The show has long been about carving out a bit of fame for all involved (so they can go on to their next cable gig) and nothing about looking for love. That’s the paradigm shift for The Bachelor in the 2010s. Get used to it.

They are not announcing the date right now - and you can bet your britches that ABC WILL be involved somehow - if/when it happens - under contract obligation :D
