I think I’ve figured out where Jake’s “slamming the limousine door” scene takes place. The one with the black and white striped awnings in the background. It has been driving me crazy – you know how many awnings there are in California!!!! It’s a bit difficult to explain, but in short I think it’s at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel, in Beverly Hills (must of been a heck of a date or RC). Not the front of the hotel, but the service road at the back that runs between El Camino Drive and South Rodeo Drive. It is where limousines pick up and drop off. It’s difficult to find images of the area, but you can do it if you go into the street scenes in google maps (drag the little yellow man onto the map). Take a look at the service road between the two parts of the hotel viewed from El Camino Drive.
The hotel seems to change the color of its awnings - sometimes they are gold and white, other times they are black and white and sometimes red and green. I think the thing that looks like an alien in the sc is a sign above the iron-gate entrance to the service road with a BH on it. The street lights match as do as are the plants, windows etc.
I would post an image, but despite Bet2win’s best efforts to help me solve my image posting deficiencies, I can’t figure out how to post an picture from the street scenes in google maps. I've saved an image to my computer and could post that if I could figure out how!!!!!

I don't think that's the same spot as this cap, though.
Now, those windows definately do match to the ones in the photo with Jake!
