I just read over on the bachelor board that the final destination dates were being filmed in St. Marten. Don't know how true this is. Just a note.

Ha far more economical than Hawaii - love that island! Never mind appears to be St. Lucia. More expensive than St. Martin but not as expensive as Hawaii methinks. Yes forgive me to being very late to the party.

I've been looking at several different resorts in St Lucia, this is the only one that comes close to the cap of Jake in the courtyard. All the other ones I looked at were colourful exeterior's. This is called Cap Maison Resort located on the Island's northwest coast.

We know they were in Soufriere as per jlccaz. You can see by this map the distance from Soufriere to Cap Maison.

What is the number of ladies during the time of the show taping in the Big Sur area? Do they still let them do beach fires?

I'm trying to remember the guess of the last taping at the mansion.

Has the show ever shown something from the Final 3 location in their very first commercial? People are convincing me of Jake sitting on the steps in the courtyard as being in the Carribean, because the hotels in San Francisco doesn't seem as isolated as that place appears to be.

Ok, the guess is that the Big Sur taping happened on Oct 27 and that was when there were 9 ladies. Could this fit a 2 on 1 date theme? I don't. Why? There is only one rose being burned. He would have only 1 rose to offer.

Atem - the last visit to the mansion should have been the cut down to 6 - then they went north to Big Sur - up the coast - with a RC from 6-4 in San Fran - then off to HTD's

I found this resort late last night and was going to post to see if anybody else saw the similarities, but then my internet connection died on me. This resort also has a fountain that is very similar to the one in the cap with Jake walking away. I'm still looking for anything else that might be a match. So far, that's the only one, though.

Now that I've looked at the schedule again, they could have had the fantasy dates on the northern part of the island and then had LCDs in Soufriere. Sort of the same as when Jason's season had the FDs in southern NZ and the LCDs in northern NZ.

Any thoughts?

GA, I saw that last night as well, but was unsure of the column work at the bottom of it. I think based on the architecture, we are close to the general vicinity. It's just nailing the actual location that seems tough. I checked out some Vegas theme hotels and while they have some similar white trim and lines, they are definitely not the same as what I still think is an outdoor courtyard. The fact that he took his coat off could indicate that the weather was rather warm, or at least warm enough to sit silently and ponder without shivering.
Or then again, I could be totally off base and casting pebbles into a fountain. At least I'm able to share my obsesson with other like minded individuals! There's safety in numbers, right?
