What about Ali?
With Ali, we are now finding that before the show she flew to all kinds of places. We know that that both she and the producers knew from the beginning that she had told Facebook that she would be off to a certain time.
Now a Facebook staffer has made a statement in an article that is at least open to interpretation that they never gave Ali an ultimation to return or lose her job.
We have pinpointed from the film and screencaps where part of her scenes are definitely scripted or set: "Now?"; the hotel room in LA which is supposed to be in SF
She does an almost immediate about face on her decision in that she leaves Jake for her job only to turn around and call him and tell him he is more important than her job.We know from inside sources that the next Bachelorette is hers, and she wants it, so logically this is an audition.

We're seeing that scene of her in the LA hotel a few days after the episode aired.... but it was probably shot a week or so ago, when there was all that talk of a reshoot... so what looked like a few days in real life, probably happened a couple of months later.

As for the work thing, who knows how much time she had off... and do you really think that FB is going to say that they gave her an ultimatum, even if they did??? not a chance...not a chance.....

They can still edit it for highest entertainment value, but when I say edit, I mean cut it from the raw footage NOT make the raw footage.

Evidence came out that Jason applied to be the Bachelor before he was on the Bachleorette. IMO, between that preview (which was not included in the actual edit) where Wes accused Jake of wanting to be the Bachelor and the preseason posts from Dakota who didn't actually identify Jake but came close, it is clear to me that Jake also went on the Bachelorette with the intention of being the Bachelor. I am going to give Jillian a break as I think she was an adventurous gal who went on for the time of her life. Now...we are finding out that Ali had applied for Real World before the Bachelor. Obviously, she has a "taste" for reality shows.
I would not go so far as to say that she knew she was auditing for the role as the Bachelorette; however, I do think they had her in mind from the very beginning.

I wasn't going to watch and the buzz pre-season was about 'who will become the next bachelorette from Jake's season' and now we know - love her or not, as long as she signs on the dotted line, this is the story we given and the outcome 90% of us (or more) knew was going to happen. From the start there were people who pegged Ali to be the next bachette - why is it any different now, just because she got a lousy edit? I don't get it

Seems to me it is because people....even the spoiled...want to believe what they see on the show is real. They see that Ali got a bad edit and believe that she is immature, fake, etc. When in all reality, she is probably much like any one of us...she makes mistakes and unwise choices from time to time. Does that make her the devil? I sure hope not. I don't understand how someone can know that this show is pretty much scripted (spoiled), and still think it is wrong of Ali, Jake, Jason, Jillian, or any of them to follow the script to get the lead role. They want the lead role, so they do what the producers tell them to do to get it. That is just smart and good business practice if you ask me. If she didn't do it, someone else certainly would. All in all, I'd say MF is doing one heck of a job with this show. He's got people who know better hating and loving the characters he's creating. Same thing happens occasionally to actors who take on well known "bad" rolls...for instance the actor who played James in the Twilight movie. He had people tell him off frequently, as if he were an evil vampire in real life. That is when a producer/director knows he's done a fantastic job....entertainment at its best.

Even the sleuthers don't like to be duped! In fact, of everybody we are probably the worst at hating to be duped because we go after the dupers from before the season even starts!

With Ali we ( and I am going to jump in there with everybody because I am still one of us even though I didn't get into anybody so I can analyze better) got Fleissed, and we hate that!

Ali is just like everybody else, but Fleiss didn't show us that Ali. We fell in love with an Ali who didn't have the faults that we are seeing now.

That's definitely a lot of it. But on top of that, remember that Jake had a huge fanbase at the end of Jillian's season. Maybe not amongst the sleuthers and the spoiled, but the common watcher of the show thought he was a genuine, in-it-for-love, old fashioned nice guy. Many of them still thought he was boring, but my unspoiled friends honestly believed that this guy was going to make the show about true love this season. None of that trash like in Jason's season. At the end of the show...the people that believed that about him are not going to be his fans any longer. And all we'll be left with is a boring guy who obviously isn't who he claims to be...or at the very least, a guy who has something seriously wrong with his "picker".

I don't think Kip needs any help with his love life and that he was on the show for the wrong reasons. Which I was totally fine with.

Kip is too laid-back and gentle. Ali would run all over him. She has many good, even outstanding traits and qualities as shown; however, she appears to be one who if she gets an idea in her head is going to try to dominate and control the situation to get the outcome she desires.
While Ali may not need a macho, Alpha male, I do think she needs a man who knows how and when to stand up to her. I see Kip trying to avoid confrontation at all costs.

Between RS and Ali, This is probably going to be my last season on the boards and watching TB. It has lost its spark for me.
