Team Never Picks A Winner (except Tessa)
I sure didn't get that out of last night... but I did notice that when Vienna was pouring her heart out as to how the girls were treating her in the house, Jake was reclining on Gia and being flirty with her, and took Gia off for a 1on 1 instead of taking Vienna off to have a private conversation as she was in tears. I wonder if he would have sent Gia away if she was the one that snuck downstairs?Originally Posted by one71721;3815239;

This is the way I see it, too. Default, very good description. I think there was no one there now that he wanted. It was a process of elimination, and Vienna was the last one standing. Explains maybe some of his post-show somberness.Originally Posted by Shoesies;3815222;

Well geez he had a bunch of wonderful women to choose from. How could he eliminate one great girl after another and let Vienna be the last one standing? I guess that is what happens when you have such a strange personality as Jake... He just didn't know how to connect with the gems and Vienna is what he is left with... no wonder the guy is single. He wants the Ali's, Rozalyn's, & Jillian's of the world but he simply cannot pull it off.Originally Posted by Shoesies;3815222;

The chemistry was there especially in the 1:1 time before the RC. I know (because I've done this before) that it is hard to see the chemistry when the F1 is not the favorite.
I think he would have sent Gia away.. Vienna even told Gia that Jake felt uncomfortable knowing Gia was in their room thinking WTH? And who know how long that initial conversation went on before Jake took Gia for 1:1 time..
It could be said that Deanna was Brad's "last one standing" as well.........just sayin'. Last one standing doesn't mean she ends up with the final rose. Has RS ever said that Vienna gets the final rose? I think he has simply said she was the last girl. Kind of evasive if you ask me, and implies that she doesn't in fact get the last rose.Originally Posted by Shoesies;3815222;
What I did see:
Jake finally accepting that he was not going to let what the other girls in the house affect his decisions ... about the backstabbing/Daddy's girl stuff.. good for him I believe he had one those breakthrough moments on that balcony with her.
What I don't see:
A 31 year old man considering that maybe a 23 year old with a previous marriage under her belt would be ready to get married again any time soon.
Would this daddy's girl be interested in moving to Dallas away from daddy.
Is 23 too young in general
Are any of these girls too young in general
Does she think with kids we are going to be traveling all the time (reminded me of Shayne's comment at the ATFR that made Matt go "huh, we are?")
There is no logic involved with his reasoning with keep Vienna it's all about exciting head over heels sexy passionate love. She will either be the great love of his life or it will be disaster.
Is it just me or is Vienna a cross between Shayne Lamas and Erica Rose?
I know it's all in the editing, but last night, the connection I saw was with Tenley and Jake which up until that point seemed to be non exisitent. I know they have to show something to justify her becoming F2. Jake even says that Tenley is the one with the most wife appeal, so what makes him change his mind? I'm guessing Tenely is too emotional involved and Jake really wasn't looking for a wife, so it would be easier to break-up with Vienna post show then Tenley. I really think that if Ali didn't leave on her own next week, that Jake would be cutting Tenley since he wants to keep Gia and Vienna around for the FD.Originally Posted by joliepaige;3815007;
and that's it right there- we know who F1 is, so if we want to see it, we can see it, if we don't want to see it, we don't. It's all subjective and individual - you see it with Jake and Vienna - I, and a lot of others, don't.Originally Posted by one71721;3815251;
Last night's edit was purely allow the viewer to somewhat understand why he chooses Vienna in the end. It had to happen eventually, and it happened last night.

Vienna may be a perfectly fine girl, but I don't see it. They surely aren't flattering her.
I wonder whether Jake would have chemistry with Corrie had they met under other circumstances and been able to take it slowly. I think she is beautiful and that "on paper" they made a good pair.
