    Just my theory on this...
I think that usually the F1 doesn't get to wear the ring until the ATFR airs which is when the Bachelor usually makes it a production of putting it on her finger again so that she can now display it. If they told her that they needed to do the ATFR early for some reason then she was probably told to bring the ring so that they could do that inevitable ring shot. The way it played out on the show looked suspiciously edited to me. All of a sudden they cut to a close-up of the ring in her hand giving it to Jason. There was really no mention of the ring leading up to that. Perhaps during the break someone fetched it so that they could tape her handing it back to him. (Which I am sure that he promptly handed over to ABC so that they could their money back ). JMO....

Do I think they will sue her? Absolutely not. Public opinion is on her side at this point and it would be a PR nightmare for them to sue her. So I agree that that would be a very safe bet.
Presedence is also an issue. Fleiss & ABC don't want the contract from hell to be tested in court. If they lose, it could have far-reaching consequences for others on this show and many others. They can't take such a risk. Everybody released from their contracts? Gasp!

I don't think the final 2 (or 3) should be allowed to be the next bachelor/bachelorette. They "were in love" and suddenly they are ready 3 months later.

Wait a year, because I loved Deanna on the Bachelor and hated her on the Bachelorette and now Jason is in the same boat as far as I'm concerned.
    And now it's Jillian's turn.

    Look in the RS thread.

Fleiss' interviews about the show clearly show that he doesnt care about the love story. It's all about the ratings.
Is it too much to ask for some reality in reality TV?

Maybe it had something to do with the fact that Andrew got the ring for her... didn't he have it made from a Firestone family jewel??? So ABC wouldn't have any right to keep the ring...
Okay I love FORT's casino, but I really am not very good. If anyone wants to donate their FORT $$ I would gladly accept http://www.fansofrealitytv.com/forum....php?do=donate

I don't want "the most dramatic rose ceremony yet" ....I want whats REAL. Reality TV became such a huge thing because we enjoy watching real people....but all the producers have become so infatuated with one uping the next show. I think its time they look back to what made reality tv such a hit in the first place.
I soooo agree! Every time we hear "the most dramatic rose ceremony" or "the most romantic love story ever" comments, they ring so hollow. Who cares that they are the most dramatic or the most romantic...at the end of the day, all we want is a real connection without the Fleissprise ending.

Both Aaron & Andrew bought the rings used in their shows.

Yes, but my point about the love story is that the posters to this board consistently say that is what THEY want -- in spite of what the producers keep saying and doing.

And in spite of what the viewers say they want, they continue to watch trainwreck after trainwreck. The producers have no reason to care about a love story -- the likelihood of a trainwreck is a lot higher, and that is something they CAN deliver.

Falling in love on a show like this is no more than a dream and this one became a nightmare for those concerned. I was always a bit suspicious of the perfectJason-wasn't his divorce final just last year? I could never understand his willingness to be gone from Ty for an extended period in search of a bride on a reality TV show. He can propose seemingly at the drop of a hat and falls in and out of love rather quickly IMO. It takes a certain love of the limelight to be willing to do this show not to mention bodies that look good in bathing suits in hot tubs. I think most of the women are suspect as well with some exceptions, but we all remember Deanna's great turnaround from heroine to disliked. Expecting lasting love to form in what amounts to a few hours of time together under artificial lights and in fairy tale settings, is expecting way to much.
I really like your post also. Very much a common sense approach IMO.

There's clearly a difference between what viewers want, and what Fleiss & ABC deliver.

But ratings are a trap. High ratings mean more of the same. Low ratings mean fewer shows, shorter shows or no show at all.

So are you saying that you would be much happier with a totally fake proposal, fake relationship, real breakup? I'm not being rude, really!! But I don't understand why people want/need the love story if they already know, through experiencing the Bachelor over all these seasons, that it's not real life in any sense. Why would you want to pretend it is?? Help me here.
