They aren't airing love stories. They are airing dramas, where the plot supposedly revolves around love and competition. Only the viewers think this show is about actually finding a life partner. And maybe a few contestants before they get inside and watch the sausage being made. But if the topic is "why would the producers do this" the answer because that is what fills the seats on the Coliseum.

I will frame this post on my wall, so every time when I am about to put my rose colored glasses on, I will look it up, and remind myself: JLCCAZ IS ALWAYS RIGHT!

I have a hard time believing that Melissa did not know that her relationship with Jason was in trouble before the ATFR taping in January - she had to have sensed that he was not entirely happy with her. They probably even talked about it - how things were not quite the same as when they were on the show. I just doubt she was completely blindsided at the taping.

I think Melissa is a sweet girl but also pretty immature and overly emotional to be a wife and mother at this stage in her life. I just never sensed she was ready for that. Her parents not getting involved kind of tells me that Melissa went on the show for fun and adventure - not for anything serious like finding a husband. I think she got caught up in the romance of it all and maybe she did fall for Jason but I don't think she was ready to commit long-term.

Jillian and Molly were my favorites on the show and I think either one of them would have been a good match for Jason. They both seem mature, intelligent, self-assured and ready for commitment. I don't know why Jason choose Melissa to propose to at the FRC - they did have a very physical relationship so maybe that swayed Jason her way - but I think he realized soon afterwards that he had made a mistake. I can't fault him for correcting his mistake and going with his heart. The whole experience of being on the show has to really mess with your mind and heart - we can only imagine how confusing it must be - for everyone.

I wish Jason and Molly the best of luck - I think they have a chance at making it work - and I hope Melissa has really moved on with her life and is happy.

Jason and Molly are a good match, because both are self-centered enough to do something like this to another person. Melissa never would have, and she deserves better than Jason.

You must really want to believe. I can't see it, but agree that I hope Melissa has gotten over this chapter.

I do fault him for being immature enough to go along with Fleiss on this. Even if it wasn't planned, which I highly doubt, why propose when you aren't sure. He deserves all of his negative attention and I believe his partner in crime does too.

Unfortunately, those season's were many MF farces/setups ago. It seems these days he prefers having the "stars" slung through the mud, and that really stinks for Jillian.

I had high hopes for this season, thinking (*hoping*) that this season would go back to the old ways of showing a love story... especially with the involvement of Ty. But, I guess nothing is "hands-off" for MF. MF had ratings gold this season with Jason without the setup/twist, and he could have edited and shown us the Jason/Molly love story and had an excited, happy audience that looked forward to Jillian's season. Now, he is going to completely tick off his viewers.

I still can't figure out why Molly would take Jason back if she was truly blindsided about everything going on. Sure, she has feelings for him, but I don't get how a woman can take a man back who breaks to you in a matter of a couple of minutes that he is sorry he dumped her on national television and proposed to another woman, professed his love to that other woman moments after dumping her, and now has decided to dump his fiance and profess his love to her... it just doesn't make sense to me.

None of us truly know what went on with Molly and what she did or didn't know (except of course Jason and Molly), but I just can't wrap my head around how she couldn't have been seeing Jason this whole time, but still chose to look past the fact that he dumped her and proposed to someone else, and suddenly decided to dumped his "chosen" finace, and now wants her back??!?!!?

Molly was not blindsided. She was in on it. She was out of work until January. Melissa is the victim here and they are the perpetrators.

Amen to that! I got sucked in hook, line, and sinker last season so I was able to watch this season w/o getting invested, though I definitely found my favorite in Jillian.

I'm torn re: next season-- LOVE Jillian but hate that she's decided to brave the shark-infested waters....

I agree about Jillian being the next B'ette..I think it's a bad idea. Fleiss will manipulate her too. I'm afraid she will become "hated" just like DeAnna was..

I hope she has her head on straight and doesn't let production bully her.

As for Jason... well, I don't have an opinion. I think there have been a lot of bad things written about Molly. How can she be "sloppy seconds" if she had been seeing him all along?? Yes.. I believe she knew everything, and he had been seeing her all along.

I hope Mel is happy, she truly deserves it!
I hope Jason and Molly make things work.. who knows.. anything is possible. I just feel for Ty. Someday he is going to learn about all of this. I just wonder how Jason will "spin" it to his son. I guess if he and Molly do become the next "Trista and Ryan" he won't have too much trouble explaining it.

I don't really care about them being together.. if they are in love and can work it out.. Congrats! I just don't like how this all went down. A little "dirty" for my tastes, but hey.. Fleiss is competing withFor the Love of RayJ and Rock of Love MF has gotta have more drama and sleeze, but still keep it kind of "classy".

I'm not going to claim that I am CERTAIN that Molly knew all along, but I would bet the house that she knew way before the taping of ATFR Part 1.

If Jason thinks he loves Molly, wouldn't he tell her in a very private conversation that he was about to break up with his fiancee with the cameras rolling? And that the reason he was breaking up with Melissa (once again, with a camera right in her face to capture her devastation) is because he's in love with Molly?

And if we believe as we are being led to believe that he DIDN'T tell her...well, if you were Molly wouldn't you be wondering what kind of guy would do that?

She had to know. If she didn't, then he ran a huge risk of Molly telling him to go jump in a lake because she didn't want to be with someone who would spring something like that on her or Melissa.

Molly had to know.

Molly absolutely knew, as did Jason. What they did to Mel was unforgivable. I certainly won't get on the " I hope they're happy" train.

Just a question regarding Melissa's motives:

Why would a girl who was DUMPED by a guy or guys (she wasn't sure about that) and seemed to be very fragile in regard to this,

go on a tv show that the odds are you ARE GOING TO GET DUMPED ON NATIONAL TV??

Funny, and so true. ABC is done with these folks, they served their purposes, and they got a pup tent. Reputations are trashed, but the ratings rocked.
So Jillian is the new Bachelorette, and most everyone loves it. Can't wait to see her. She's a genuine person, uhm, like Jason used to be.
Mike Fleiss is a genius.

Wow, I really would have preferred Melissa in the Bach'ette role. She seems more well-suited to it, IMO. And if she wanted, she deserved it more than anyone. I can only guess that she was through with the whole disgusting scene.

I'm right there with MsFroggy on this one. I'm laughing about how absurd this whole thing has become, I'm truly in awe of Mike Fleiss' machinations, and I'm at least enough removed from any attachment to the F3 that I don't really care. If you go back through my history, you'll know how I felt about St. Jason, right from the get-go. In Deanna's season, I couldn't stand his eagerness, his bum wiggle, or his too-perfect edit. I was a Jesse fan, for all the grief that got me. I was appalled when it became clear this boring guy was going to be the next Bachelor, and I've commented all along that he comes across as disingenuous, that there was something about him that didn't ring true and I didn't think he was that great guy everyone seemed to believe he was. It's just too funny that the most wonderful Bachelor they have ever had (at least in the eyes of his fan-base going in) has now become the most hated. As Fleiss probably said, a job well done on his part as it's going to bring in a HUGE audience for the last show.

Now, I will watch Jillian for two reasons. 1. because I like her and she cute and funny and 2. because there will be HOT guys and that's always a plus. I also think they may lay off her a bit after this particular series, but you never know with Fleiss. Ah well, she's a big girl.

Can we say "Blob?" Bob was also REALLY LOVED by fans on Trista's Show, but he winded up being the Blob by the end of his Show.

But, wait a minute...what the production crew saw was Jason and Melissa getting together, not Jason and Molly. Jason and Molly supposedly got together until AFTR1. So are we to believe that the crew was "cheering" after AFTR1? I don't buy that. I think the crew loved Melissa, not Molly, and I wouldn't be surprised if pissed off crew members were the ones who "leaked" to RS and others precisely because they loved Melissa so much.

Well, all of the other girls loved Mel, so it would make sense that the crew loved her too.
